Already rejected them according to AS. We offered him 7m a year, Manure only offered 5m. Arsene also tried to sign the player back in 2010 but he chose Madrid. Arsenal fan apparently.

I'll give credit to Wenger, but still think we should've had more business done earlier, these weeks have been far more tense and tougher than they should've been.

Agreed. When Pod and Ox come back, we'd be massively overstocked otherwise. Also, we still need a center back and possibly a central mid. Giroud is leading the attack well though. He's having his usual great 2nd season.

Getting Ozil would be a real statement of intent. It makes sense too, it follows on from my theory earlier that Wenger is trying to sign players he's tried to sign in the past (Viviano)
