With regards to Henderson, he struggled at first but, I must say. He was impressive in our recent game. I'm sure Assaidi will be OK here. Etherington is almost past it and we need another winger with pace. Can he play, anywhere up front. e.g. off of Crouch/ Jerome etc Just wondering because some Liverpool fans I know personally rate the lad.

I've never seen him play anywhere other than on the flanks, so can't really comment on his ability playing in a more central role.
Don't get me wrong the lad has plenty of trickery, he just lacks any final ball and his decision making is soooo frustrating to watch. Perhaps he'll mature with more game time and that part of his game will improve.
He's basically got talent but it is so raw and needs tuning big time. There is a chance he'll come good, and I'm glad he's going on loan to get the opportunity. One thing it tells me is Hughes is looking to change your style of play - which must be a positive thing.

Hope he does well, but I very much doubt it. He has a few tricks in the locker, but nothing else.
Also we only sent him on loan because no ****er would buy him
yet you thought you would come onto our board and post this?, I think that deep down you are gutted hes gone personally, if hes as bad as you say why would other teams out of the prem be linked with him?. No matter what he does he will certainly be better than downing and he cost £20 million so in my eyes we have done very good business, well done mr Hughes!!!!.
I thought I'd come onto your board to post my thoughts on him. Gutted?? No, sorry but he doesn't even get a game in our second string - we have 17 year olds that get the nod before he does.
I'd personally have Downing all day long over Asaiddi.
I notice people keep bringing up prices, but they forget that we've been very shrewd under our new manager. Coutinho (8.5mil) Sturridge (12 mil) Aspas (7mil) Toure (free) to name a few....
I agree Coutinho and Sturridge are brilliant buys but Toure even on a free isnt good enough for a team like Liverpool, personally I think that Downing is one of the worst wingers ever to play in the prem and how he played for a team like Liverpool is beyond me. I do like the shape of Liverpool this season and actually think you have a good chance of breaking into the top 4.

To be honest i'm glad we've signed him, Ethers is struggling on the left and if I remember correctly Pennant couldn't cross to save his life when he first started out. We need to freshen up and with players coming in it may help others to follow suit. Good luck with your season Skylarker.

Toure has been an absolute beast since joining. He had Benteke in his pocket all game against Villa, and that's not easy.

Neither can SHOTTON, and for some unknown reason. PULIS said he was our Gareth Bale. Which is maybe, just maybe WHY MH thinks that Assaidi will improve us. I'll pop back for some updates to see how the lad gets on, like I say I hope he does well.
One down, hope we get Guidetti as well . He got a bagful of goals in the Dutch league and sounds a really good player.
If our current strike force had a bag full of goals they would all be own!! really hope we get a hungry striker.
