Well tbh who wouldn't be depressed playing for them? We thought we were bad holy ****ing hell that was atrocious from Newcastle today
Juve are hardly short of money, also they are a club with serious ambition now, so can't see why they would want to sell one of the best young CM's in the world.
Matt Dickinson in tomorrow's Times: "Only last week Wenger was telling the senior executive of another Barclays Premier League club that he did not share the agitation of those urging him to spend money. He said that he was at ease with his squad. New additions would be nice, but not necessary". I don't know whether to believe this or not but I really think Wenger is selling us short here. I despair if this is the case.
Even from a just numbers point of view, Wenger can't be at all happy with our squad, surely? If he is, then he is ****ing insane.
I truly hope so. If it's true, Wenger has lost it and needs to be provided with a special coat and a room in Dartmoor.
Personal pride is definitely an element IMO. He needs to get vindicated for his ways, and he seems to be willing to seek that at the expense of the club. AST who have more access to the club clearly believe Wenger has too much power in the current management structure, and not the other way around. And the hypothesis that the club isn't supporting Wenger with the buys that he wants has never seemed plausible to me.
