Osvaldo - I chose Southampton because they showed the most interest in me.

He also says that working with Pochettino in the past helped, and that it was always a dream of his to play in the Prem.
 
Osvaldo: "It's fantastic to work with Mauricio and I know him well. He's a great motivator. It's important for me to work with people who understand me and appreciate me."
 
Osvaldo: "Those are matters that my agent carries out for me. I don't know where the Spurs interest was going. I am really happy to sign for Southampton and the past is history now. I want to focus on Southampton."

Osvaldo: "I have met Gaston Ramirez before. I met him in the United States during pre-season. All I want to do is play and put the shirt on. If there was a game tomorrow, I'd want to be playing. Alas, there is no game. I am not looking forward to playing anyone in general, I am just looking forward to putting the shirt on and getting out there in the atmosphere."

Osvaldo: "I worked with Mauricio before. I know how he sets out his team. I would say my season-and-a-half with Espanyol was the best period of my career. I want to repeat and improve on that. I am confident that will happen and I cannot wait to start."
