A HUGE development has taken place in the Luis Suarez transfer saga, in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
According to highly regarded Uruguay journalist Martin Charquero, Luis Suarez will be staying at Liverpool this summer.
Believed to be very close to Suarez, Charquero has revealed the striker’s intentions of signing a new contract at Liverpool after a stormy summer.
The support of the Liverpool fans has reportedly been the major reason for Luis Suarez’s supposed change of heart.
Arsenal fans will be understandably devastated after Wenger opted not to sign Gonzalo Higuain in order to bring in Luis Suarez. Both are now unavailable.
Although this is only one journalist’s word, Charquero is very reputable and has close ties with Luis Suarez.

So it looks like he's staying. Moral victory for the club I suppose.
If he is offered a new contract, I certainly hope there are no additional financial incentives included as he doesn't deserve any. Just put in a release clause for £55m so there is no confusion next year.

Surely we wouldn't offer him any sort of contract?... Not after all that has been said this Summer? 
So in other words, Arsenal wont pay more than they've offered, we wont sell anyway especially not to Arse. Real aren't interested and neither are any of the top European clubs. Suarez is stuck and wants a contract with a definite release clause so he can get out next summer if we don't get CL.

Don't buy into any of it. What would be good to see would be a similar thing to what happened when he left Ajax and he spoke to the fans on the pitch only he tells us that he's staying. As I said fans shouldn't buy into any of it but it would show that the club and Rodgers' have had the strength and determination to fight against the tide and it would shut the media up.
He will do an Evra-esque appology to everyone, "I am sorry but..." and it'll mainly be to the fans.

Throughout all this Rodgers/the club have always suggested/shaped their statements to reflect that they want him to stay, it's football, Suarez scores goals, they'll sort it so he can stay if he decides to or can't find a European club that suits.
If he's playing for us this season and giving 100%, great, that's a world class player we've hung onto. He's still a world class dirtbag but if he helps us make any sort of push for top four the words of Don Draper will quickly come to mind, 'it will shock you how much it never happened'. Short memories in football these days.
