Goldeneye one of the best games ever made.

Ever play Timesplitters 2? It was developed by several members of the Goldeneye development team and it's purposefully made to have the same feel. It's the perfect shooter in my opinion.

Yeah loved Timesplitters shame they didn't sell that many. Rumours are the planned new Timesplitters for next gen isn't happening now as they haven't the cash.

There probably won't be a proper new one, but there's a fan-made mod of the new CryEngine in production called TimeSplitters: Rewind.

"Fan-made" = made by regular guys in their bedrooms, rather than by professional developers.
"mod" = customised version of a pre-existing engine/game
"CryEngine" = game engine designed by German game developer Crytek.
