You think Walcott will get any more chances as a striker or was that experiment just to encourage him to sign the new contract?
You may not have seen it, but he has said recently that he is happy to play anywhere etc. etc. Seems to have backed off a bit anyway.
Wait - is Sanogo the only Arsenal signing so far? I was under the impression from this board that this summer had been a roaring success.
http://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/luiz-gustavo/geht-er-zu-wolfsburg-31625656.bild.html Linked to Gustavo again. Would be an amazing signing, IMO. Can play CM or DM, as well as at full back.
Heard about that. He has also been linked with Chelsea. Would be an amazing signing, as you say and more necessary than Bernard.
I know most of us haven't seen much of Gustavo (including me), but he was `man of the match' for pretty much every game Brazil played in the Confed Cup (though official MOTM was always Neymar). So I'm completely sold on his ability to be our DM.
Would be great to have him, what our squad has needed for a few seasons now. Wrighty given a frank appraisal of the current situation. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23539678
Things are gettign that desperate in linking us with players that there are no quotes or statements from any parties, but at least it is another name to throw about. http://www.givemesport.com/364967-arsenal-to-make-christian-eriksen-bid?autoplay=on
This'll make you all happy: Transfer news: Arsene Wenger calls for calm over transfers - but claims current squad can compete for Premier League title To be fair to Arsene, he isn't quoted in the article as saying the current squad can compete for the title. If he had said this however (and I know he's said similar things this summer), then to me a big reason why is encapsulated here: Despite the frustrating transfer window we'd be wise to create a more positive atmosphere around the team. Negativity breeds negativity after all.
