i would go along with them not being as strong next season , but if , BIG if , they can get a good 2 or 3 players that could form a new spine to the team , medium to long term ...they could be better off in the long run than keeping a one trick pony .
why are they , you think he will have a better season than last , with him having the hump about them keeping him ...(allegedly )
The spuds may be better off selling Bale now and cashing in. It looks as though Real may have made a bid and if reports are to be believed and Bale wants to join them, then the last thing the spuds need is another Modric situation, where the player, desperate to leave was eventually sold for less than the initial offer on the table. It will weaken them undoubtedly, but if they hold him hostage like they did with Modric and the player is unhappy, then they could have an ineffective Bale on their hands who unsettles the team ethic - and when they are eventually forced to sell him, the transfer fee could be significantly less.
Having signed Chadli and Pualinho, I'd be amazed if average players like Parker, Huddlestone, Dempsey and Sigurddson play as much football as they did last season. Not sure if Bale will play as well but I think the others around him will improve.
I don't see the point of him moving mid season in a world cup year. So I think he will go now, or next summer. Smart money says now.
If Bernard has his head screwed on (or a good advisor) then he will move to Porto. I'm not saying that because he is linked with Arsenal as he is linked to us too and I'd love us to get him.
I think we have bigger priorities too but the prospect of Coutinho, Sturridge, Bernard and (if he stays) Suarez is quite mouth watering IMO. If Luis goes then it will be someone else, not expecting it at all but we've been heavily linked with Eriksen for about fifteen months too.
We have Walcott, Chambo, Cazorla, Rosicky, even Ramsey has deputised on the wing before. Mainly lacking in defensive midfield and striking positions.
Yeah, Suarez doesn't pass the ball because of trust I really rate Suarez but he is a hungry ****, it has nothing to do with trust I dont doubt the quality of your players ect, just the trust thing is so wrong it could almost come back around and be right again, almost.
All very good but not sure any of them bring to the table what Bernard would. He's a tricky player that can work is way out of tight corners , a bit like Coutinho and Suarez actually so would probably be better for you than us. We really need a calm influence such as Eriksen
http://www1.skysports.com/football/...rsene-wenger-prepared-to-wait-for-luis-suarez Cryptic as ever Wenger has said we are not close to signing Suarez or anybody at the moment, but that we are prepared to wait and doesn't anticipate anything before the Emirates cup.
I said yesterday that given our "outs" this season, we have only 16 first team players excl youth and deadwood. We will sign.
