The father of Atletico Mineiro winger Bernard has reportedy told O Jogo that Hulk has convinced his son to choose Porto over Arsenal.

Nothing is decided yet but we know there is interest from Arsenal. There has been nothing official from them. Hulk has convinced Bernard that Porto would be better for him at this stage of his career.

I fail to see how a player who we have been linked with but had no official interest in - his dad comes out and says he thinks he prefers porto - that somehow means Suarez is more expensive? What are you smoking...

With Gervinho on his way out and the current numbers in our squad i'd say the board are confident of getting a few transfers done. All the attention ison Suarezbut i think we have afew signings in the pipeline. Gervinho on his way out just gives me more confidence that we will have a goodtransfer window.

It looks that way. We've let a lot of players go, while others have gone on loan for the season. (See! I'm not always pessimistic!)
 
Also, what's happening with good old Nicklas Bendtner? Gone very quiet on that front. Did we hire an assassin to finally get rid of him? <whistle>
 
Last time they got huge money for a world class striker they spent £35mil of it on a big semi-useful not worth it striker - so who knows? :P

Tbf that was when we had Comolli and KK who bought Downing and Carroll, think Brendan will be a lot better with £50m, if he can get a few more Sturridge and Coutinho's then I'll be happy enough. <ok>

It was actually those ****s at Sky. Remember waking up one morning and turning on SSN to see that news, nearly gave me a heart attack, because according to them the fee we were prepared to pay was close to £20 Mil. <laugh>

Can ou imagine us breaking our transfer record to sign Downing considering all our other big money signings have been skillfull players (Arshavin, Cazorla, Reyes)
