We can agree on that What? Why what we done? We dont just bend over like you do with the Manchester clubs you know
Can Arsenal manage Suarez better-especially regarding his madness?. I doubt it, Suarez himself would regret leaving Liverpool for Arsenal if he eventually leaves.
Pot kettle black. One thing we can agree on though is Suarez is a complete twat. I actually want to see him go, just not to Arsenal or any English team. I dont think we'd strengthen one of our main rivals for next season either so really cant see this going through.
No point in having a bloody great war chest which you haven't got the guts to use - classic example - Arnold Weinstock of GEC
http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/fo...Suarez-fury-as-Brendan-Rodgers-plea-backfires Got to agree with Luis on this, not so much about the fans but about the club's supine, craven kow-towing to the FA and English press over the Evra case. He owes Liverpool NOTHING.
This is the maddest transfer saga of the summer & up until today I'd have said that there's no chance it'll happen, but reading the words of Rodgers today, makes me think that there's maybe a chance it will. As he appears to be trying to make suggestions as to why he shouldn't go there, as opposed to merely saying it's not ****ing happening.
Firstly there are no quotes from Suarez in this article and secondly if you sympathise with him about LFC's kow-towing to the English press, why on earth would Suarez going to Arsenal make any difference?
Its to be expected in fairness, you do tend to lose when you employ a clueless hoofball merchant as the manager.
And yet again, not a single quote from Suarez... Do people really read and believe all this media bollocks? I'm sure he's not impressed at all, but it's all massively over hyped and completely unfounded.
But we won't be weaker! IF you did pluck up the courage to invest then we would have in excess of £50 million to invest in other players. You would have a player with a track record of being banned/suspended for large parts of each season - now don't tell me that Wenger will manage him better and he won't get into trouble! He will also be surrounded by a second class team reliant on average players like Arteta and Ramsey supported by an ever injured player like Wilshere. No mate it's your side that truly needs drastic surgery. Better keep an eye on WHU 'cos they'll be pushing you for the 'title' of the 3rd best side in London
Actual questions outside of wum baiting: a sensible Arsenal fan response would be nice rather than the nonsense poster back for more today: How much money do Arsenal actually have spare? I've heard 70M I've heard 120M but seen no evidence that this is the case in their spending patterns. In fact when one of the owners starts saying he hasn't been allowed to fund transfers (bluff or not) It makes you wonder why they would suddenly spend the vast majority of that money on one player in one go. And you are breaking the proudly advertised and carefully cultured wage structure in place, so I assume every quality player to join after him would want the same pay or more. If not then you obviously aren't going for more world class players to drive you on, just that one. If so then you are unravelling everything put in place over the last decade. maybe thats the point maybe Arsenal now consider it a failed project after the majority of that time resulting in no silverware? I mean say we said yes to the 40M and for him to move he gets the rumoured 150K a week. Over a 4 year contract the total spend on Suarez would be 71M? yes? If we force them up to 50M fee its 81M. Now I know nothing about the FFP only that it runs over a 3 year cycle that we are in year 2 or 3 of. Do they have enough money after this sale to then do what some Arsenal fans believe and add more players of the same level to actually compete and keep said players happy. If not then you're gambling on 4th both paying for those extra players and keeping St Luis happy all with his performances alone. (again, going on the idea he's a reformed character that won't be in front of an FA sick of the sight of him and who soley based on his previous cases upped the punishments on various offences while, might I remind you warning him about his future conduct which means a hell of a bigger ban than he's got so far next time.) It's one of the reasons sadly I want him gone; his next ban will be very very long. If you keep going with this its one hell of gamble on a player who while brilliant is so erratic he can not be considered anything other than a liability. I mean if it goes wrong, you could be in serious trouble from top to bottom.
He was good enough to assemble a better team than yours on a budget of two curly wurlys & a packet of monster munch.
All this Arsenal far superior, no they're not **** is tiring guys. Last 8 years we have finished above arsenal 3 times they have finished above us 5 times. Now bearing in mind 4 years ago our last fcking owners nearly sent us under we are building back up to compete again - arsenal fans on here stop pretending you are the high and mighty big dogs cos you know and we know its bollox. You are more attractive right now but this time next year could be a very different story whether you like to admit that or not - our end of season run was impressive too you know but we keep our feet grounded. Oh and we've one 2 trophies since you last one anything just to pop that in there too
Are Arsenal a step up from Liverpool? Yes they are. They have CL football, a consistent record in the PL but they have a very experienced manager at the helm. My gripe is that Suarez should be playing at an even higher level. No disrespect to Arsenal but Suarez should be playing for Bayern, Real etc. Whilst Arsenal are ahead of LFC, the gap isn't that great. Rodgers's comments may be seen as disrespectful by Arsenal - understandable but they echo what everyone else is thinking, as I have explained above. If Suarez does end up at Arsenal, it would be seen as a last resort as he is clearly holding out for Real Madrid. As much as I don't want to sell Suarez to a rival, a bid of £50m plus will probably do the trick (no silly add ons).
Sorry, disagree mate The **** he's put our club through and the support he received from us (I know its because he was our best performer) but theres no point in calling for loyalty to these players And besides, theres nothing on there to say (quotes) its backfired what Rodgers said. Just more guess work from the hack
Arsenal's last set of accounts showed a £17m profit & an increase in their cash reserves to £123m! So in short, they can afford to fund both the fee & the wages, without a worry or impinging on FFP.
