Whilst this isn't what we wanted to hear, Real Madrid always seem to lie about transfers.

Strangly, no mention of his ban for Ajax... Hmmm!

It is lazy and repetitive journalism but to be fair he's still serving the second one so it's still relevant. I guess they also influence the transfer (fee) because the buyer has to factor in his volatility and any potential **** storm.

Why has Rodgers said he's missed a lot of games 'for various reasons'? The club should stop molly coddling the little **** and wrapping up his indiscretions in cotton wool, make him actually confront the reality of what he's put the club through. It's an outrage, ridiculous and childish the way this guy (LS) has behaved, he's a 26 year old man and needs to get in the real world.

Sounds like we're obviously ready to sell to whoever once the price gets high enough. The decision will come down to Suarez now, will he listen to Rodgers' assessment and the club or not? Don't think it takes a genius to answer that.

sounds like a right bunch of mopes on the bbc radio this morning then...

I still think this is down to suarez's personal choice but its purely do you want to go to arsenal for a brief pay rise cos he said it wasn't about money. are they high enough up his list to even consider.... is any of the stuff he said true, is the meida even a factor? is 150k per week all that much extra to F up any chance of going to real? would he hang on for one year in hope of go to arsenal and play for 4th...

If i were a nuetral i would perosnally be saying to him... WTF would you be doing going there. Are they the only club interested... seriously?

Yeah but he also said he only wants to go to Real Madrid. He has no integrity anymore, not that there was any before, he's a liar, a cheat, and a violent racist. And I'll keep saying that because any reality or sense of perspective gets lost in the transfer dizziness. Honestly, it disgusts me the level of attention he's getting and the fact he's engineered it himself is even worse. I guess the only reason he would consider Arsenal is because of CL footeh and if they throw a few extra grand in his pay packet why would he turn that down?

he said he wants his duaghter to think highly of him.... thats the funny one. If he goes to arsenal that'll be hilarious... I'd get a journo in every arsenal press conference asking what does luis' daughter think now....

I think its a bit strong to say violent racist.. he didn't beat evra to death... racist fine no issue with that... no issue with cheat or biter or liar or whatever else we want to call him.

I still maintain its golden for us cos he is damaged goods and not with 40mil... he just is not. yes players are going for 55mil but they are not damaged goods and going to mad clubs with mad owners. I nthe real world nobody wants the guy or will touch him with a barge pole so if we extract 45 or 50mil out of arsenal it is pure profit in my view.

Everyone's very angry with Suarez. I can't work up that much emotion towards him tbh.

He was 'damaged goods' when he came to us. He's added to that since, fans can love him or hate him for his on field antics but seriously, other than saying to his home press he wanted out of England because of the media, what's he done?

I'm not too angry.... TBH i was more angry how the club sold us a line on reina then pushed him out the door on a deal that can't be much benefit to us really...

    1. answered every question since he arrived by saying yes they are a great club to any team linked to him rather than denying.

    2. waited to get out of england before talking.

    3. has not opened his mouth since confed cup.

    4. said the club knows what he wants.

    5. Said nobdoy back him despite sky likcing his hole when he did dain to talk to them.

    6. bit a player

    7. racially abused a player

    8. stuck fingers up at fans.

all in all there's lots of reason to not like the guy.... but many to appreciate him for too.

    1. nothing wrong with that
    2. does that every time he goes home
    3. <ok>
    4. nothing wrong with that
    5. he actually said 'nobody in the media' backed him up
    6. ancient history
    7. " "
    8. " "

I think people are just preparing themselves for him going by doing a 'never liked him anyway' routine.

Ancient history? The first one or the second one which was a mere months ago?

There is no doubt that his talent would help us get top 4, but I just think he has dragged the club through so much and is now just being petulant. I watched the reaction from the second goal and **** off with the " he doesn't know the players" " it is only a pre-season game" . He simply did not want to celebrate, almost looked sad that he had an assist! Just have to look at the reactions from Aspas, Sterling, Gerrard, Ibe, etc who have all scored and or set someone up and look at suarez, he wants gone, fair enough, but at least try to go out with some dignity left in tact.

Lol, I did like him or at least liked that he was unlikable! I like that attitude on the pitch and will accept (bar racism) the fact he might miss games when he goes too far. I just hate bastards that sign deals for 3-4 years when they have no intention of honouring them then whine when it's held against them (he hasn't yet but he will when he thinks he's not getting away)

And I hate sly feckers that don't just tell the truth. "I want a new place with more money or sunny weather." It's not hard I don't expect loyalty any more just respect for who pays you and honesty to the fans who support you at the minute: Then we can say Cheerio when you up sticks (like Reina) and either quickly forget you or fondly reminisce about you later.

The bite is ancient history - roughly translated - not a factor as to why the rise in anger now.

For me Suarez is a product of his environment. Grew up dirt poor, fighting and biting 7 brothers. He brings that childish fight for survival onto the pitch. He dives, pushes, bites whatever it takes - we all know that and either like it or don't and if you don't like it you overlook it because he's our fighter and biter. Now it looks like he's on his way, those who accepted his flaws are either being honest about what they really think of him or are doing the self preservation thing of protecting themselves from huge let-down a la Torres.

I will change my opinion of him if he goes to Arsenal given what he's said about the English media - otherwise I will enjoy watching him play and wait for his next lapse in self control on the pitch, and continue ignoring all press about him.

This we are def on the same page on. This is one of my biggest problems with all of this. So the English Media is so bad that you want to........ move to another english team? Just feels like a slap to the face.

I hope Ayre and Rodgers do have something up their sleave to ease the loss. Look at what Benitez has done with Napoli when they lost Cavani... went out and bought Higuain, Mertens, and Callejon. Now that attack is better and more versatile. Fiorentina lost Jovetic... went out and got illic (sp), Joaquin, and Mario Gomez, same thing.

We have to do better with the money this time around!!!!!

But does he though? That's part of the problem. Where are his quotes? Other than answering a reporter on what does he think of Arsenal interest in him with 'they're a good team' where has he shown any interest in them? It's media hype. What they will do when he leaves the country is anybody's guess. I'm just not buying into it. If he goes to Arsenal he's a fool. Let's just hope someone can finally get to him with some good advice, cos he's been in need of proper personal PR coaching, counselling, etc for quite some time.

We have been fed the idea that he actually wants to join Arsenal - there is no evidence in that what-so-ever.

His agent saying he wants CL football does not mean 'Arsenal will do' - it's just a very easy spin to put on it.

I am no idiot though, there is a good chance he could end up there because that is what modern football is like BUT he hasn't said he wants to go there and has said very little other than it would be a dream to play for RM. That applies to 95% of professional footballers though.

I 100% think he would go to Arsenal, for a variety of reasons: money, CL, Fresh start, living in London, etc. BUT I think he is holding out for RM. My worry is that it is going to be left ****ing last minute and we are going to get shafted hard...... again.

Again with the PR work though.

With regards to Cavani, Napoli had a number of buyers for Cavani (including the richer clubs who don't really negotiate and just pay anything).

With Suarez, we have one serious bid from Arsenal and mere interest from an arrogant club who will bide their time.

Was talking about when said clubs got the money, they re-invested well. You can use the JOvetic one if that better suits the level of interest.
