When will Suarez leave?

  • Pre-contract, gone 1st day

  • Gone in July

  • Gone in August

  • Gone on transfer deadline day

This whole saga will end up with a win:win - for LFC. Far from being the victims of an avaricious Suarez and aggressive competitors with deeper pockets.

IF Suarez is sold then they are in charge of the fee that will be be paid. For a UK side - something in excess of £50m. For RM - probably between £40-50m. The club would be more than remiss if they have not already got targets in mind as a contingency plan.

IF the asking price is not achieved then Suarez stays here. It's a World Cup year and Suarez can not afford to attempt to copy the Torres sulk season - it would hurt both his international career and future transfer prospects. So he will bite the bullet and play in the same way.

And hopefully he will have a great tournament which would then inflate his price <ok>

Not that I'll feel miffed, I don't believe all the bs anyway. It's just that he's a great player, and I don't want him playing for our potential rivals.
Still, it would be fascinating to see how our media would treat him if he played for one of their darlings.

Will be interesting if he goes, yet again today the Beeb article ends with reference to his two bans<doh> They really need to make a new Suarez article template

This Arsenal debacle really helps to explain why Arsenal find it so hard in the transfer markets - they are not very good at it! I thought some of our dealings have been amateur but theirs appear shambolic.

They actually used this as their five live debate this morning. On my count that's 3 debates about Suarez in the last year on the same show lol! The Wigan supporters president was a hoot, saying our estimation of his value is ludicrous but that they don't care about players coming and going as fans (all 3 of them?). Errr love you're just not use to figures with that many zeros: you'll never have to worry either.

I also love how they say BR has made this into a loyalty not a business issue. Really? That's what you took from that statement, not the "he's not for sale but even if he was they have to pay the price required" sounds like business to me.

Maybe we should get a price gun and stamp Luis head......
