If I win the Euromillions, can I speak to Suarez?

He can do the gardening, the weeds are a bitch. Not sure I'll have enough for the gloves, so he'll have to just grin and take the nettle rash.

So it looks like the gooners may get their man if they cough up 50mil. Who do you think we will get in now to replace him?

For the love of God, we cannot sell to Arsenal. I'd happily accept a lower bid (£40m) from Real and sell him to them!

And if Suarez does talk to Arsenal, then he's shown his true colours. Personally, I think it's all a ploy to get Real Madrid to get serious.

But if we sell Suarez, that's only part of the 'solution'. We then need to replace him. Rory Smith tweeted last night that we have monitored Luis Muriel.

    http://www1.skysports.com/football/...gers-says-arsenal-must-up-bid-for-luis-suarez

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers insists Arsenal must up their bid for Luis Suarez if they are serious about the player.

The Gunners put in a bid of £40,000,001 for the striker earlier this week but Rodgers argues that it will take a lot more than that before the Uruguay international is allowed to leave Anfield.

"If Arsenal want the player, then they have to produce the value for the player," Rodgers told reporters in Australia.

"There was an offer a few weeks ago of £35million and two weeks later it is now £40m and a pound - I don't think it is anywhere near the value of what he is worth.

"But it is twofold, really. A player may want to go, but then somebody has to pay the value or worth of that player."

Suarez featured briefly as a substitute for Liverpool in their 2-0 victory over Melbourne Victory on Wednesday and the Reds boss expects the striker to play for as long as he is paid by the club.

Rodgers added: "There is no change for me or Luis. He is a paid player at Liverpool so he just needs to get on with getting fit. That is how it is.

"Until somebody tells me something different, that is what all my concentration will be on. There will be no games played at Liverpool.

"Luis is part of the group and he knows the standard you have to meet at this club - on and off the field.

"After the bid came in Luis was OK, he said he was OK to go on the pitch and his focus was fine.

"It may be a distraction but players are played enough money now to produce for their clubs and he just has to keep his professionalism, which he has done."

I don't know, in an ideal world I'd rather him come out and say there is no way we'll sell to another English club. He's gone from not for sale to maybe we won't sell and now we'll sell at the right price.

It sounds like this contract clause is going to likely to cause conflict here.

His management team obviously think the over £40m clause entitles other clubs to speak to him, but Liverpool are obviously contesting that & demanding much more.

I don't see how a contract clause that allows another club to speak to the player can be viewed as anything other than a release clause, can it?

To be fair to Rodgers he did say he is not for sale but every player has a price.

I see this as a big gamble for Arsenal and would be happy to ship him off there for £50m, that is a hell of a lot of money and I trust BR to re-invest it well.

Take £50m and let him be the gunners problem I say <ok>
