@SAFCsource Mavrias will travel to England on Tuesday, to undergo his medical before signing for Sunderland. http://bit.ly/12OBUaj ‪#‎SAFC‬
Giaccherini in tmro with Mavrias and Peruzzi signed up tues or wed? next has to be a left back, I wonder if this German lad is anygd
I really hope you are right with Rose mate, he would be a fantastic signing! Him and Giaccherini down the left would be top class don't think Orban will come mind
i could well be totally wrong mind, looks to be heading this way though, i really think these latest lb links are a smoke screen
who knows mate I do know that unlike past regimes when the first choice or second choice does not happen and we go with a makeshift in that position because we have no more options as for new signings that won't be the case with these lot. If we cannot get Orban or Rose we will have other targets lined up. It just shows what the hell has been happening over the past to what is now. I have never been happier being a Sunderland fan knowing we have Short as owner and a good head coach, DOF and scouting network all set up
@greekfooty Mavriasâ agents deny rumours that move to Sunderland has collapsed, claim it has just been delayed & that heâll undergo a medical next week @greekfooty Delay has been attributed to the changes made in Sunderlandâs medical staff. I believe this version much more than the collapse story @SAFCsource Where we are/were with the Mavrias deal according to the Greek press. @SAFCsource Fee agreed, agreed personal terms on a 4 year contract, MRI taken, his medical records handed over and just waiting to undergo his medical. @SAFCsource The medical was first delayed as he was recovering from rotavirus and then Sunderland needed a delay so he could see the new club doctor.
I hope this gets over the line as I really like the look of the lad. Personally, I don't think the Peruzzi deal is happening, surely this isn't a doctor delay as well, it would have cost the club thousands to bring him from Argentina, we surely wouldn't do this with nobody in-situ to get everything done?
SUNDERLAND appear to be cooling their interest in Greek winger Charis Mavrias. The Black Cats agreed a £2.5million fee with his club Panathinaikos a fortnight ago and at that stage it looked like the deal might be completed quickly. Mavrias was tipped to travel to England, undergo a medical, settle personal terms and have every chance of being on the plane to Hong Kong this weekend with the rest of the Sunderland squad. But so far the deal has not progressed. And it now appears likely Sunderland will shelve their interest in the highly-rated teenager. The £6.5million arrival of midfielder Emanuele Giaccherini from Juventus this week may have influenced Sunderlandâs thinking on the matter with the Italian international expected to be deployed on the left side â Mavriasâs position. On top of that, young prospect David Moberg Karlsson has impressed since joining Sunderland and he too can play on that wing. Mavrias was just one of a number of possible targets pursued by Sunderland this summer and, despite a fee being agreed, sources close to the potential transfer suggest the Black Cats may decide not to take their interest any further. The move is not yet dead in the water and could be revived if more players depart Wearside before the transfer window closes at the end of August and Di Canioâs options open up. But as things stand it seems increasingly likely that Mavrias will not be joining the Black Cats. Sunderland have already signed nine players this summer, with Argentinian right-back Gino Peruzzi expected to become the 10th. Peruzzi flew into the North-East this week along with officials from his club Velez Sarsfield, to undergo a medical and finalise personal terms over his £3.3m move. Sunderland were hoping to tie up the move in time for him to fly out with the rest of the squad taking part in the Barclays Asia Trophy.
Morning mate, i reckon we should know more when the team fly to asia, n'daiye, mavrias and peruzzi, peruzzi deal worries me, something not sitting right, these two seem to be stalling our activity. This looks positive on mavrias though
Haven't the team left today mate?? More & more I feel Peruzzi is waiting for an offer from Spain or Italy, and if that's the case, we should pie him off. I could be completely wrong, but this deal should have been done 3 weeks and it still drags on.
I think they leave tonight, that'll be a ****s trick if he does like, we know he's here, u going to darlo?
Na mate, was going to, but it's the U21's! Could still change my mind last minute like, but it's likely a no.
Duffing it aswell, see if we can get a stream or somthing going This is what leads me to think they leave tonight, could imagine a couple of the u21s travelling th asia with the first team
