Quiet couple of days rumour-wise since the Austin deal fell through.

I don't see Bendtner coming myself. Deal collapsed at Frankfurt because he wanted big smackers, don't see why we should scrape and scramble like crazy to satisfy his inflated demands.

It would be a different story if he bagged a bit more and wasn't a weirdo though.

Well, they don't. Judging by the article in the HDM today, he can't wait for Fryatt and Aluko to return, so I'm guessing they're going to be playing a fair amount next season (we didn't expect anything less).

There'll be targets, but they have to be able to compete at PL level and finding players of that calibre isn't easy. I think we'll see a bid for Bendtner come in, whether that's a loan or a permanent remains to be seen. We'll almost certainly see a couple of foreigners (Amalfitano?) come to us, but Bruce doesn't have the same scouts that he had at his other clubs. That said, somebody from the club was watching Izet Hajorvic so I guess we have a fairly wide scouting network nowadays.

That's where he is now. I highly doubt if we had a bid accepted he'd sit down and ask for the same. The figure would probably still be out of our price range, but if he'd consider a loan, then we might be interested.

Was it Ciprian Tătărușanu? If so, he's pretty good, but he'd fetch a fair fee if he's not out of contract and he'd be behind Alan McGregor when really he'd be looking to be a #1 somewhere.

Heard rumours of both Bendtner and Romanian goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu (SSN), both good players who will improve the team but can't see Ciprian coming in as number 2

Not @ £100k a week they wont. Unless of course Spurs just allow him to go and i dont see that either.

As for Burnley they get what they deserve. Glad they need the money but where has all there PL money gone i ask - Offshore maybe ? It will be annoying to see Austin leave for less than £2m and surely for that we would take a punt.
