I think the reference concerning Schumacher and Hamilton not touching is perfectly valid, it indicates they both know exactly where they are on the track, can use the mirrors, unlike some and posses racecraft beyond that of most other F1 pilots, some of whom should not be in F1, eh Maldonaldo !
Some good points there about Hamilton and Schumacher. However, I think that might be a bit harsh on Maldonado. Considering this was only his 6th race in F1 and he was beating his (very experienced) team mate at one of the most toughest circuits on the calender, I'm inclined to give him more of a chance before deciding whether or not he deserves his seat.
Westy, maybe, but he wasnt aware of what was going on around him and at that level he should be, Hamilton and Schumacher operate on a different plane than most and expect not unreasonably for others to be awake, Maldonaldo was not, he should have been aware Hamilton was going to make a move on him anytime soon.
To me Schumacher seems to be hanging around in the hope of having a few good weekends so he can retire with some dignity. He will always be a great, but he doesn't want to retire after two dreadful (by his standard) seasons.
Just because Hamilton was going to make a move on him does not mean that Maldonaldo should jump out of the way and he had every right to defend his position.
Defending a position is one thing, steering into a passing car is another ! he was not looking !
so you suggest Maldonado should've just driven straight and into the barriers then? Let's not forget that Hamilton over-took Schumacher mainly due to Schumachers tyres being shot to pieces and therefore had to go into the corner slower than the freshly shod Maldonado, and he launched his ill-fated move from further back than he did agaist Schumacher. It's just another example of poor decision making by Hamilton. It seems to me that the 'crash-kid' nick-name has been given to the wrong guy.

The thing that really strikes me about his comeback is that, he chose a team that realistically were always going to need a few seasons (at least) to get up to speed with the big boys. I wonder if Ross Brawn perhaps pitched the idea and future progess of the team to Schuey a little too optimistically? In any case, it's going to take something monumental from the Mercedes development team to get the car consistantly up there. Either that or a catastrophic failure in development on the part of Red Bull, McLaren and Ferrari.

I think the Merc is just a one stint wonder. Qualifies good; but after the first pit stop the car just starts falling back slowly but surely.
If they do not fix that, neither Schumi nor Rosberg, will win a race, unless it is a street race and they get lucky with the strategy.

It looks like it doesn't like to be fill with fuel to me, sometimes during the early parts of the race they look almost as if they're driving in the wet, once Mercedes sort that out I could see them challenging for podiums, but not yet.
