Hes bought Hobbs twice, if he doesn't see something in the lad, he wouldn't have took him to Hull.

Has experience at playing at this level for 3-4 seasons now and its not as if he had made major mistakes when he was here, he just got swamped under Svens cheque book.

Alot of Leicester fans would love him to come back, Brown and Hobbs worked, so why can't Morgan and Hobbs?

All our centre halves are quite slow, we need at least one with a bit of pace and that's what Davies would offer.

It's more about balancing the team, than just a simple matter of being a capable defender.

You sold us Hobbs for £800k(it was undisclosed, but that's what the fee was believed to be).

In all seriousness I would take £2.5M + Hobbs for Kasper.

Always liked Hobbs and he has become more solid at Hull - pity he was forced out by Sven.

Can see us going for someone like Shay Given as a replacement - I know the the owners want a 'marquee' player and there are no rumours about any Premier League clubs wanting him for more then a backup keeper.

The majority of our lot think it's too generous an offer.

I like McGregor as a better value option - yes he's Scottish but he seems decent enough. It seems Bruce wants rid of Hobbs so paying less for a keeper and using Hobbs to get Davies seems more sensible than shelling out for Kasper and Davies

I would be very happy to see Jack Hobbs back but not if it means losing Kasper

As I've said before, you have to meet our valuation of Kasper not the other way around.

That dont get that. They think we need to come down to meet them not them coming up to meet us

4M cash or 3M and Jack Hobbs else I wouldnt sell

Even at 4M I think Hull would have themselves a right bargain for Kasper. If he had a longer contract I would want around 6M+ for him

I'd value Hobbs at around £1.5M so that would be the £4M we were asking for Kasper - I'd say yes with a sell on clause.

If Kasper was on a longer contract I wouldn't sell at all.

I wasn't posting the opinion of our club, just of our fans, most of whom think £1.8m for McGregor, or Schwarzer on a free offers better value.

    McGregor is crap basically

Schwarzer would give you a year, maximum 2.

Kasper easily has 10-15 years still in him and when you eventually sold him you would get around 10M for him.

McGregor isn't crap, he's played in 29 internationals, along with many Champions League and the Europa League games and if he played for Leicester you'd value him at £4m minimum(like you do all your other players).

Schwazer would only be a short term fix.

Kasper would either impress in the PL(in which case his value would increase significantly), or he'd **** up(and it would go down).

Ergo, Kasper is the biggest risk of the three and the most expensive.

I'd take Schwarzer on a free and sign either Forde or Moore as a No.2.

Piece of piss this football management lark.

Yea but the thing you keep forgetting is that you overrate Kasper. Therefore other fans see alternatives as equally good options if not better

I gotta be honest, I reckon the idea of getting schwarzer on a free and signing Moore would probably benefit Hull city more. Schwarzer will probably only last 2 years at prem level now but Moore is one of the best young goalkeepers around and is available quite cheaply compared to the likes of Butland (who I actually rate lower than Moore, Butland is ridiculously overrated). Moore would then become your No. 1 in a few years time. Only thing is if you were to sign Moore then you would have to loan him out to keep his experience building whereas someone like Forde you could comfortably keep as No.2 as he probs won't get much better than he is now.

I've been going on about Leeds trying to sign Moore for ages now but I doubt it'll happen personally

Having watched Kasper for 2 years now he is worth that. He is a top class goalkeeper, you lot need to get over your vendetta against him. Move on, you have had better keepers since in Andy Lonergan and worse keepers in Rachubka.

Exactly, the rest of us aren't blinkered, we can look at all the options with complete impartiality.

He was the best 'keeper in the league last season (hence he made the team of the season).

Who do you suggest we get that will come in and be better?
