Hull might make another bid for Kasper Schmeichel according to someone who works for the mercury

Do you think Kasper might hand in a transfer request? And before you jump down my throat I don't mean so he can join us - more so that he forces Leicester's hand as well as notifying all premier league clubs of his availability

Possible but i find it unlikely. Especially in the middle of June

Truth is TIS none of us has any idea - his father's comments suggest to me that he (and /or his agent) have probably tested the water with our management about a move but may have been told categorically 'no' unless the bid is £4 million (or whatever) irrespective of whether you put in a formal transfer request - if he does of course that at least makes it 'public' ... but wouldn't necessarily change anything if the club decides to stick to its' guns.

Yes That's probably a fair assumption of the situation - I just think that if he wants to move (and this could be any quality player not just KS) - with only a year left on his contract, a club may as well sell and cash in rather than hold him at the club if he's said he wants to leave.

I'd agree with that - but it comes down to the 'cashing in' (I accept he has critics amongst Leeds fans) but we would need north of £3 million to replace him ... promotion is still the goal after all ...

3M and Jack Hobbs might do it. Any less and I think you would get the same answer as before

I guarantee you the bid won't be £3m + Hobbs.

I think £2m + Hobbs, or simply an improved cash offer, as we still have the issue of Brum wanting Hobbs as a make-weight in a deal for Davies.

    Fine by me.

I think McGregor at £1.8m is better value and leaves us more cash to sort the striker situation.

    I'd rather have Hobbs ...

£2m - £2.5m and Hobbs would be a fair price imo, would meet our asking price and would clear some wages off the Hull bill.

Why do you want Davies so badly? Personally, I'm not sure he is good enough for the Premiership, and seems a bit of a tw*t if I'm honest!

And how much did we sell Hobbs to you for?

Davies is a far better player currently ...

Nigel needs to ask himself this - would you go out and buy Jack Hobbs individually - if no - why would you take him as a make-weight?
