Just been reading some Watford forums and they seem to be pleased about this. Boy are they going to be disappointed! 4 year deal it says apparently. So hope it's true!
@StokeLoudProud: I've also been told we are Considering Bentley. (ONLY CONSIDERING) and no (before you ask) it's not off twitter lol.

He is the type of player we need in the middle and I would rather have him over Barry. Just worry about his age - we had the 3rd oldest team in the prem (thanks for that Tone) and he struggled for fitness last season.
Fantastic player, hard worker, but age catches up with everyone and as you said Smithers, he's struggled this year.
I hope we dont sign Barry, he is absolutely shocking and looks like he is running on a treadmill. He makes the easiest position on the pitch look very difficult
Barry and Parker , both very good players when at their peak , are now I feel are on the downward slope leading to retirement from PL. I want to believe that players currently better than those two can be persuaded to join us. If not , then how do we improve ? The academy is not yet unearthing any gems.
Prefer us to get some promising youngsters in, instead of long in the tooth, past their best players.
Getting concerned that we have yet to bring anyone in as I hope it's not going to be another Pulis job, last minute panic delas again. Other prem clubs are making changes now and Paul Lambert already brought in a couple of young promising youngsters. All I see us being linked with is has beens again. Come on Stoke sort it out! We have a terrible squad at the moment and I fear it's going to take all Summer to sort it so let's get moving on this!
OUT-GOING Academy director Terry Robinson insists the future of youth development remains in safe hands at Stoke City. The club are now searching for a new Academy chief and an under-21 coach after Dave Kevan also left the Britannia Stadium recently. But Robinson, who leaves after two years in the Potteries to take up a senior executive role at Leicester City, says recent departures will not disrupt Stoke's on-going determination to produce its own youngsters.
Good to see MH is running true to form.Expect a handful of 35 year olds drawing £50k a week about the end of next month.
are you obsessed with our club?, arent Norwich doing anything?, we have had enough negativity on this board recently time for positivity. Im backing Hughes all the way!!
