To be fair, I suppose this marks the start of the new Saints era in the Premier League. Not just survival, but where the ambition finally gets its first chance proper to prove itself.
If you get the chance, go to Sheffield as your University of choice. Cheap beer, great people, great vibe.
First French tweet I saw translates as "Good wind in England, your sins should go unnoticed!" Bad translating I know, but obviously they're critical. I want to be enthusiastic, but I'm slightly anxious that we've signed Ligue 1's Danny Fox. I'm quite happy to sit in the fence until I've seen him a few times for us though.
Not at the South Western by any chance? I think I'll have to sit on the fence too. I'm sure he's a decent prospect, just time will tell whether he's worth this fairly high sum. Not sure about anyone else but I'm still not used to these high fees we're paying for players!
Lots of reasons why he may have had a poor seaon. And just because Lyon fans don't rate him. Celtic didn't rate hoiveld but he did well in the NPC. Nb im not suggesting he is in any way like hoiveld
I did, and I could have, but there wasn't anything particularly exciting on the cards. It would either be sitting here in front of the TV or sitting at the bar of the hotel my mate manages, perhaps discussing art with his girlfriend if she happens to be there, and getting a couple of free drinks. You'll probably say the prospect of free drinks should be sufficient to get me out of the house, but the prospect of walking over there outweighed it today.
Typical happens when i go out. Anyway i think this will either be an amazing transfer or a terrible one. Either things just did not work out at Lyon and we have a class act. Or he really is crap and we have messed up.... Or he could just be decent
When I lived in my little Kent village of Egerton Forstal I was less than 50 yards away from The Queens Arms. It took quite a bit of resistance not to go in there after work on a quite summers evening, for a decent pint of cider and a cigar.
Could someone please explain how he had one bad season, and what constituted that bad season, as I have never heard of him other than on here
Traditionally Croatian players have done well in this country and suit the style. He is an international with experience at the highest level. I'm hoping for the David Luiz example. I bet if he left Chelsea before this season you would hear similar quotes from blues fans about indiscipline & lack of concentration. That's not completely gone away from his game, but his influence on the side has greatly increased.
////OT - not being funny, but how the fck do Southampton sign Lovren from Lyon?//// From the Newcastle board
Its probably more to do with us having the cheek to buy a player from the French league instead of them, rather than the actual player.
