    Risk/reward. Was considered one of the very best CB prospects in the world, but lost his way a little. If he comes good, he could be a serious difference-maker...if not, well, I hope that the cost wasn't too out there.

    It's for Nicola to worry about the money. He's the right age to grow with our team. You don't suddenly become a poor player...it wasn't working at his last team, but no reason for it not to work here. Love the moment when Mauricio was asked to get his watch in shot for the photo.

    Heh, is funny to see the contrast on Twitter. Most of the English comments are "wow, how did Southampton get him!?" Most of the French comments are variants of "Lyon's negotiator is a genius!"

    It's been rumoured for a while.

    Biggest concern is his discipline...he has six red cards over three seasons with Lyon. Hopefully, midtable obscurity means a little less pressure than Lyon's perennial chase of a CL spot and he can settle into things.

    I'm very happy with this signing, quick, composed, good passer and is right footed but plays as a LCB so I presume he can also play on the right, I've also seen him play RB but that is a bit like watching Maya play RB. He looked very good against Spurs in the Europa League at CB.

    Good to see a signing in our weakest area. I'm slightly concerned by the apparent negativity of the Lyon fans but I'm confident he's better than what we already have. Let's have a few more now!
