Especially when you consider that Lallana's figures were almost as bad as Fonte's!

Without Fonte playing SAINTS won 44% of their games and lost only 25%
It's maybe also noteworthy that Fox's statistics don't make for pretty reading either!

That said, you can't make a call purely on those figures alone, I admit.

Fox makes any CB playing next to him look 100 times worse.

Hooiveld managed some respectable if unspectacular performances when we didn't have a clown at left back.

Agree about Fox, in particular Hooiveld looked much dodgier playing alongside Fox

I hate getting on Fox's back, but this is true. The amount of times this season I saw one of our CBs charging out of the penalty area to cover the massive Fox shaped hole in our defence was ridiculous.

I sense a recurring theme among our centre backs. (except Hooiveld)
 
Well even if Lovren struggles look on the bright side, Saints on FM 14 are going to be quality!
 
Some of you are well hard to please, that's give him a chance before we slag him off. At this rate at least Ramirez will get less people moaning at him.
 
Have to say we do seem to help players improve, our star attraction being in my opinion Lambert, taking a player who spent most of his professional life in the lower leagues, then make him a fairly decent striker in the Premier League. Also it wasn't that long ago we wanted to ship out Puncheon, now look at him. Lets hope things turn around for Lovren.
 
He`s no mug if he`s played 17 times for Croatia already. That said, it`s Jos, Jose and Maya who have the shirts, and its for Lovern to earn one - something Forren hasn`t managed yet.
 
Rooney was average last season. So does that mean Rooney is sh*t now aswell? If you read the reports Lovren attracted some pretty big European clubs, that should be enough for anyone to believe he is decent.
 
Can't say I'm happy about the signing, but will not judge him properly until xmas at the earliest. Watched him play a fair few times last year and he was pretty poor in most of them. Hopefully it was just a lack of confidence due to a few poor performances in a row and he can re-find the form that saw him linked with a host of big teams at a new club.

To be honest, I've seen much worse from much better players. **** happens sometimes.
 
The disappointing tging about this transfer for me is that none of the other boards are all upset and offended about it.:(
I was looking forward to some trolling.
