Stats don't tell the whole story
I agree wholeheartedly, and stress that at the end myself, 'SaintsFan4Life'
But neither do newspaper and internet articles looking for an angle of interest, do they?
With regard to who might be on the way out, I found this statistic interesting ( especially given that quite a few wondered whether Fonte would be off the Premiership pace ) ...
With Fonte playing SAINTS won just 15% of their games and lost 50%
Without Fonte playing SAINTS won 44% of their games and lost only 25%
It's maybe also noteworthy that Fox's statistics don't make for pretty reading either!
That said, you can't make a call purely on those figures alone, I admit.
Fox makes any CB playing next to him look 100 times worse.
Hooiveld managed some respectable if unspectacular performances when we didn't have a clown at left back.

Can't say I'm happy about the signing, but will not judge him properly until xmas at the earliest. Watched him play a fair few times last year and he was pretty poor in most of them. Hopefully it was just a lack of confidence due to a few poor performances in a row and he can re-find the form that saw him linked with a host of big teams at a new club.
Also saw this which made me laugh

To be fair most people on here would find something to moan about even if we signed Messi.
