If we were getting rid of Hobbs, I can't see that happening. Chester and Hobbs both gone and replaced by Figueroa and Davies. Then we still only have Faye, McShane and Alex Bruce as back-up.

Dont worry about that as neither will happen. £1.75m is a good offer for a player moving into his final year. Kasper does hold the key to what happens this summer though. Lesta could move for say Shay Given ""with the money they get for KS"" as an example. :D
 
I've heard that West Ham are trying pretty hard to get Chester, but if NT says he's almost signed a new contract I'd go with that.

Need to get this situation sorted out, its gone on long enough.
We should now be concentrating on bring in players, not on retaining players.

Not this crap again. Old news with no substance to it. Villa for a start have more important issues to deal with like keeping hold of Benteke.

Thats even funnier ? Spammers in no need of defenders as they need striker with the Andy Carroll deal heading south.

Pretty reliable from someone on here. I've no doubt it's true. If you want to put a Tickler positive spin on it you should be focusing on NT's comments that suggest he'll be going nowhere.
 
Why will he be beyond us? Played once in a friendly for Munich, struggled with injuries and is completely unproven above league 1. If he is beyond us, God help us!

I think experience in midfield is important, though. I'd rather have Watson in there and leave the fancy stuff to Meyler and Quinn. Brighton also don't have to sell, so they'd probably be asking for silly money.

Jacob Mellis at Barnsley would be a much better shout and would probably cost less.

Agree with you there, going into the last year of his contract as well! Like Bridcutt though he does lack experience at 22
