I can't see Fellaini in an Arsenal shirt and I don't think he's worth £24m. But that sort of figure is quite likely to be met by either Chelsea or Utd.
I was told a while back that he had a pre contract agreement with PSG, Kenwright will be happier taking the crackers and seeing his prized asset move abroad I reckon...
(First post, been lurking for like a year) how about mark schwarzer? still a good keeper, available on a free (i think) and able to provide competition whilst still giving szcesney (and fabianski) plenty of opportunities?
Not sure of the point of signing Schwarzer really. I know it's not a universally held view, but I think both Szczesny and Fabianski give each other enough competition for the No1 jersey. They are both young and improving, Fabianski did really well when he came in last season. For me Szczesny is going to be one of the best in a few years.
Can't see it happening to be honest, but I would be thrilled if we did. As long as it's not for £24m, I don't think he's worth more than around £18m
I would love to have Afro Man at Arsenal. PHYSICAL. Aggressive. TALL. Goal scorer. Good vision. BIG. And has great feet. Fellaini would free the others from doing dirty work, but he would also contribute creatively to the attack. In my view, he would be a strong signing.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZvv-oHdIaw
He's better than any other midfielder we have (Except Santi). How can you people not want him? I don't understand you at all. You want a quality signing, we're linked to a quality player, and you complain? And i thought i was the pessimist?
I'm worried about Arteta. He seems to get slower and slower. He is also getting to the age where injuries start creeping in. I think we can get another midfielder even if you like Ramsey in there. Edit: seems to be something in this. Skybet has the price down to even money that he will join Arsenal before Sept 1st. http://www.skybet.com/football/tran...2082?aff_id=9713&dcmp=ss_betlink_FELLAINItwit
He's an upgrade on almost everyone Arsenal have for the midfield role. He adds height, physicality, ball retention, and can play anywhere in the middle. He ran the show singlehandedly at Goodison this season & he's young enough to be around for years. Want.
Why not? He's the modern day Vieira. Tall, powerful, commanding, and dirty as f*ck, but in a good way. Any guy who floors Ryan Shawcross and gets away with it is a god in my book. And he has awesome hair, meaning the club will sell afro wigs, bringing in more cash, and we know how much the board loves cash.
I've come round to wanting Fellaini in recent weeks too. He plays like someone much older than 25, and his physicality is exactly what we need to start bossing other teams around. Everyone has been saying we need an extra midfielder, so why not Fellaini? He can play as AM and striker too, so could fill in many positions if needed, and quite frankly I'd much rather have him there than the alternatives currently making our bench. I see him as a starter for a CM spot though.
