Just remembered in my interview one of the questions was basically what do you think the day to day activities in the role would be, and one of the things I mentioned was preparing e-mails such as ICS, closer and direct sales e-mails. Direct sales e-mails is fine, but ICS e-mails are technically for books asking people to request an inspection copy (basically a preview version). The role is involved in journals though, not books however there will be e-mails which are essentially the same as ICS e-mails (asking people to preview a particular journal) but won't be called that. There will be closer e-mails as well, sent to people who had received journal previews (asking them if they want to subscribe), so that's fine. But it's just the usage of the term ICS. Epic fail, now I have no chance.

But on the Mr. brightside, at least if I say I have analytical skills in my CV, it wouldn't be a lie!

Thank you very much, I appreciate that as well. And I guess it's like analysing exams back in the day. You try not to but always think of things you shouldn't have written or should have written. Good times.

 

I am sure you understand it, but simply, as said previously, stop over analyzing yourself. Be natural. Whatever will be, will be.

I hate going to the ****ing dentist. And I have to pay £49 to get my filling replaced. You shouldn't have to pay to go to the dentist - you should get paid.

 

Only £49? The dentist I go to is a rip, cost me £80 odd for a replacement filling.

I have a choice of two treatments for my teeth and the removal of one bad tooth and the poor little unsupported baby teeth next to it:

Option One: implants - 4,000 GBP
Option Two: a bridge - 2,000 GBP

Currently I am doing nothing and contemplating. Season Ticket or teeth?

 

I don't think she says **** enough.

 

Yeah my mum goes to the same dentist as me and had her front teeth sorted costing 10k. Kinda mad how expensive dentist's are.

 

I often wonder what some people think the PM's job is. Also I'm pretty sure the Queen has spent her entire life on holiday.

 

It's this sort of populist attitude that makes me cringe
