The official Off-Topic Chat Thread now known as "Beefy's Corner".

Firstly, the normal rules of the site apply. You cannot start a discussion about contentious issues, Politics, Religion, or show Porn, etc... The flip side of this arrangement is that there will be a much stricter enforcement of the "no going off topic" rule which has always been the case anyway, on the other threads.

Secondly, the normal rules of the Saints board will apply, (except that you can go off-topic obviously). This is not going to become a "private GC Lite." Personal insults will not be tolerated, and neither will goading someone to draw them out. The whole tone of this board has suffered in the past as differing views have been aired and there have been far too many angry exchanges. Vitriolic exchanges are not welcome and will be dealt with as appropriate. If you have fallen out with a poster put him on your ignore list and don't rise to the bait!
If you see content which is not appropriate, please send the mods a PM rather than fronting up the poster and let us deal with it to save a bun-fight. Lastly, if a thread is closed or deleted by one of the Mods, and you have some good reason that it should reopen, then send us a PM with your reasons. Simply re-posting the same thread again to be confrontational would be considered very provocative and would probably lead to action being taken.

It would seem that large numbers of posts and subjects causes problems for mobile phone users to access this site.
So from time to time it will be necessary to close the threads down and start a new one.

So erm...I just learned there's a baseball team in Albuquerque, New Mexico called the Isotopes. Named after a Simpsons episode. That's pretty cool.

Blimey. Just read an outside QPR forum, and their fans would be pretty pleased to see Redknapp go. After the clamour to get him it's amusing to see comments such as:

Man management was supposed to be Redknapp's big strength, wasn't it? So much so, that it's meant to be worth overlooking the fact that his approach to transfers seems to be along the lines of simply throwing big money at ageing, established and well-known players. He's had a while now to show this famed man management expertise and there really hasn't been much sign of it.

Always wondered why some people don't rate Mr Not-My-Fault as a manager and lately I have found out why. A pathetic team fielded today with no logic. I want him out more than I do most the players.

Why should we judge him next season? He came here to keep us up, not guide us back up from the Championship. So he has failed to acheive his target. Had enough time and made a mess of things tbh. Any half decent offer and he will be out the door as fast as he can sign the paperwork anyway.

Minor league baseball teams tend to have oddball names. Las Vegas' team in the same league is named after Area 51, complete with little gray space alien logo. For sheer "why the **** would you name yourself that!?", though, it's hard to top the Savannah Sand Gnats.
 
So there has been an affair going on inside #10 Downing Street. The two aren't in cabinet but are well-known.

Apparently it's Boris and Cameron's wife?! <laugh>

I don't know. I find that a bit hard to believe. Anyway, avoid getting our arses sued off here :P

Heard about this earlier, and was trying to guess with friends who the persons involved were. We did mention Boris and Cameron's wife, but we considered that too far fetched [and of course they wouldn't be involved in such a thing - he said covering his own backside]. Apparently, this is supposed to be shocking the political powers to the core [with a bit of luck, he again added]. ;)

Ha, I reworded my original post on this so as not to leave myself open.

It seems so far fetched......that it could be so. No no, definitely not.

Who would think such a thing. Humph.
 
To be honest, if a couple of Tory MPs have been getting busy then I'm all for it. Maybe it'll make them less stiff and uptight.
 
Ladies love Boris's hair, he's basically a really ****ed up Samson.
