Suarez is a fool. He got his hole licked all over by sky for him giving them an interview and they were SO delighted. All the guy had to do was make himself available to a few serious TV pundits like sky or even the beeb and he'd have had the hacks eating out of his hand and praising him.
He's mouthing about the press while in spain each and every player has their own stalker and its 5000 times worse cos the press make up personal stories regularly and really get nasty...
I think personally we should just dig in, keep the party line and force the transfer request and 40mil release clause then walk away.
reality check....... wonderful moment, vast step up in his won ability such as free kicks, no real pace, james collins figured him out... dives, cheating, kicking biting, rascism... All in all 40mil is a fab price for him and i think i'd rather look to the future than this guy.... Its a sense of relief for me. its a big test for ayre and fsg to extract the value but for me long term i'd rather this guy gone cos he's bad news.
All you need do is go look at a couple of videos.... him scoring goals and him biting players..... if the former is more imprtant to you than the latter fine but for me it can never outweigh he antics.

mito - Liverpool fans are well and truly fed up with Suarez' childish on-field antics and won't miss the bad press if and when he goes but there's also no denying that he has been vilified like no other player. There's several stories online showing the stark contrast in reporting on the Terry racism case versus the Suarez racism case for instance.
Carragher said after the biting incident that Suarez needs help not hounding. All the team know that he's picked out for special treatment by the press and if I were him I'd want out as well - off the field he's a decent family man and while the biting etc is in his own hands to alter, the press vilification isn't in his control.

I wish everyone would wait to see what he does and what he has actually said before slagging him off for what he might do and what he may or may not have said.

If he'd gone out on a spin campaign and humanised himself he would have made it much harder for the press to make him out to be less than human or in other words an monstrous animal.
In the end hang on.... its not the press's job to help anyone. he racially abused someone, the stuck a finger up at wigan then got criticised for diving... and yet he's stupid enough to go bite someone. this his fault nobody else's.
As i said if he can speak up now in Uruguay colours at the confed cup and talk the way he is doing he could have tried a bit. sk gave him every encouragement in the one time he did. If he wanted press love go invite them in! Perhaps LFC need to learn that lesson too.
I am fully confident that if he'd talked to the press and shown them via the usual hole lickers on sky etc that sky would have been out defending "thier" man. if you think you can get the story i know full well the hacks will massage the ego. They all know that their default is call him whatever cos he's not going to talk anyway. easy....

Thing is mito, unless you're a wannabe celeb like Cantona, foreign players don't feel confident enough to give interviews, heck it's painful just watching them in the friendly environment on lfctv talking about what they had for breakfast or some other nonsense. Expecting or thinking that Suarez could court favourable reviews is delusional.

Lol BB; I'm not saying I believe them just that I'm back to my why everyone (club & its "lackeys" for want of a better word) pretends there's not a release clause after the player has stated he wants to leave: he's already showed he couldn't give a **** about the club so he's not going to be nice & play a game for us to get £10m extra.
