Sounds for all the World like he's been tapped up imo. He's just not been overly subtle with his comments & the ball is definitely rolling here. If he has got a release clause, then I reckon he's a goner, if not, then you might get another season out of him, assuming you don't fancy cashing in on him now.
He's as good as gone IMHO just the deal needs sorting. Will miss him for sure but not his antics. @RHC - where's this disappointing big name then?
Think most of us knew he would go sooner or later, most expected this Summer so it comes as no surprise. Though I do find the way he's gone about his comments, being so open and public very disrespectful but perhaps that's just me. In a way now I'm glad he got banned, purely because in a way it proved we can play without him. Will still be a big miss, 30 goals is hard to replace. I hope to God we spend that money well or we'll go backwards.
Poor end to the season? 25 points from 12 games? The mancs got 24 City 25 Chelsea 26 Arsenal 29 Tottenham 24 Everton 21 Everyone else got significantly less Hardly a poor end
Suarez has not help his position with Liverpool by making stupid comments.Fans are likely to start disliking him now.I think he is not going to be here next season.
if Luca "3 goals, 3 assists" Modric went to Madrid for ****ing 30million then Suarez shouldn't be going for anything less than 50million. He's 4 years left on his contract, Suarez may sulk for a bit if we don't let him leave but he'll get over it. Not like he's playing early this season anyway
Oh right, in that case, it would appear to be merely a matter of time then, given the comments by both player & RM in the last day or 2. I think he owed you some loyalty tbh, given that both club & fanbase supported him so strongly after his misdemeanours. I reckon he owed you another season & if you didn't get CL etc, then fair enough, move on.
I really did think it would be another season for exactly those reasons. It's a shame as he's a joy to watch, but **** happens and you have to get on with it. If he does go, which I now think he will, Rodgers will get all the sale money to reinvest, which will be make or break for him.
I've got proper old man hair at the minute. I needed some new blades for my razor so I've not shaven all week, I could literally ask for a short back and sides
Do you think the release clause will technically exploited? For example, is it £40m or 40m euros? Is the conversion rate taken into account? Does the pope **** in the woods whilst trees elsewhere make sounds despite no one being there to hear them? Won't somebody please think of the children!
not a legal expert, but i would assume the price quoted would be in pounds sterling, that's what currency we deal in and the contract is an English one with an English club, so see no need why or how that could be exploited to mean Euros. if he's gone i hope its sooner rather than later, but doubt it will happen sadly.
