You've got me reading up on the cuisine of Trinidad and Tobago now. Saltfish is really popular and so is shark. Strangely there's also a massive Indian influence.

Do they eat jerk chicken there or is that just Jamiaca? Man I love that stuff, although I had a Jamaican lad at my uni that cooked me some that almost had me in the burns unit, and I love hot food.

"Upon emancipation, therefore, the plantation owners were in severe need of labour, and the British filled this need by instituting a system of indenture. Various nationalities were contracted under this system, including Chinese, Portuguese and Indians. Of these, the Indians were imported in the largest numbers, starting from 1 May 1845, when 225 Indians were brought in the first shipment to Trinidad on the Fatel Rozack, a Muslim-owned vessel[32] Indentureship of the Indians lasted from 1845 to 1917, over which more than 147,000 Indians were brought to Trinidad to work on sugarcane plantations."

This might explain the Indian cultural influence, I know there are at least 2 indo-caribbean players currently playing for the West Indies cricket team

It's basically just Jamaican. It's probably about as common in Trinidad as it is here. Thankfully, that's pretty common due to all the lovely immigrants. Add that to the list of reasons Farage can go fornicate himself.

I'm more than a little concerned, was talking to my line manager about the exciting world of marketing at her desk and I couldn't help notice she had an e-mail in her inbox from the marketing director (who I don't think I've ever met, although there is a guy I've seen a few times who knows my name but I don't know his) with the subject 'Pompey Lapras' contract'. How terrifying, what could it be about? Maybe they want to make it permanent, but more likely, they're thinking of ending it. <wah>

So, Toronto mayor and Chris Farley lookalike Rob Ford appears to have gotten caught on camera smoking crack. He has also gotten caught on camera in the past making racist and homophobic remarks on several occasions, has gotten booted out of a charity function for being drunk, got booted out of a hockey game for being drunk and belligerent, has a DUI on his record (and got busted for marijuana possession at the same time), got caught in a major conflict of interest, was filmed reading a newspaper while driving, got accused of touching a former mayoral candidate inappropriately at an event (possibly while drunk), and regularly calls 911 to try to remove media members from various places, and has threatened members of the press repeatedly. He has also fallen down while trying to throw a football and run face-first into a camera for good measure.

As of today, he's still the mayor.

And people think Boris Johnson can't be taken seriously.

Seriously though, I've been to watch ice hockey whilst in Canada, and getting thrown out for being "drunk and belligerent" is pretty good going!

Turtle Bay restaurant in southampton is amazing for Caribbean food.

Maybe the reason you're struggling to find a job is because you apply under the name Pompey Lapras.

Brighton's three coaches were suspended after Brighton staff and players smeared poo over the away dressing room walls at The AMEX and smeared it so that it said "we hate Palace".
