Call me sad if you want but I make no apology for coming back on here after you and others ridiculed me for having a point of view that has been proven fully justified. I kind of expected you might graciously now concede calling me 'a ****' for thinking Barca weren't the best team in the world was a little misplaced. But I'm the one who is apparently out of order...
Only a **** would judge a team on just two results. You've conceded that you're a ****. It seems that all is well with the world.
I'm surprised tbh. Madrid could've gone through yesterday, could easily have had 4 or 5 last night and almost did it at the end. Still, I suppose you can't win them all. I don't understand why people see this as some kind of football power-shift within Europe. We had an all-English final in 2008, it didn't seem to sway people's views on European football, I don't see why this should. On top of that the praising of Germany's players and how great they are, well their national team has done nothing in recent years and the best players from the Dortmund and Bayern team in these 2 semi's have probably been; Lewandowski (Polish), Robben (Dutch), Ribery (French) and Martinez (Spanish). Of the Germans perhaps Reus and Gotze, even Hummels but he did make a big mistake in the first leg.
I actually thought Madrid were going to pull it off last night, they left it too late, but Dortmund were desperately hanging on at the end.
Thomas Muller, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Philip Lahm deserve some credit surely? They were brilliant over both the matches, especially Schweinsteiger. If Madrid had scored 5 minutes earlier I think they would've gone through. The right team went to the final in the end though imo.
