But, they didn't "let him go," did they? You obviously didn't bother to read the outrage on the United board, when the player decided to leave them and join us. Please don't try and be clever with me; you'll end up making yourself look sillier than you already obviously are.
Little Luke, it is pointless trying to hold a reasonable debate with Mousers. They still see themselves as your main rival, FFS!
You could just as easy be referencing Bale and Spurs there but I wouldn't be as ridiculous or as melodramatic to suggest you'd only be Championship level, but you wouldn't be above Arsenal of that I have no doubt. Bale has basically won the last 5 games on his own. At least we have Sturridge and Countinho chipping in to. While Defoe was injured and Adebayor either out or ****e when he's played anyway you have exclusively had to rely on Bale alone to win your recent games.
Exactly what the Gooners are saying but they don't seem to mind that their recent achievements amount to 1 measley CL run and winning the "We Finished Above Liverpool" Trophy. If they finish the season with an auto place in the CL, the "We Finished Above Liverpool" Trophy and the much desired, but hitherto never won in my memory, "We Finished Above Arsenal" Trophy, i actually think HIAG may drown in his own jizz.
Thats the weirdest logic ever. Most pundits, ex-professionals and fans within the LFC universe have a consensus that Gerrard just edge's out Dalglish as our greatest ever player. When they explain why they say its because Gerrard has done what he's done without the help of having a constant championship winning team, and many world-class players around him, helping him to achieve what he achieved. He's done a lot of it on his own. That's why Suarez is a more complete player than RVP. He does what he does in a supposedly dogshit medicore team with **** players around him not enabling him or assisting him to do what he does like RVP has at Man U, and earlier Arsenal. To produce what Suarez has produced in this LFC team the last 2.5 years, mostly on his own and creating everything himself, for himself. This is why many people involved in the game, and not just Liverpool-centrics, believe Suarez edges out RVP. Put RVP in this Liverpool team of the last 2 and a half seasons he will not have the numbers Suarez does because he doesn't create most of his own goals out of nothing for himself.
You cannot form a fully innformed opinion on someones character unless you actually spend time with them or speak to somebody who knows that person well and can offer a character reference for want of a better phrase. This is why we have charactr references in Law so as one side or the other can't create their own, biased picture of what sort of person somebody is. You can't decide you defo know Suarez is a horrid person because he bends the rules on the pitch, can be a bit dirty and will literally do anything, ANYTHING, to make his team win (which is largely due to his culture and upbringing & only a problem in this country where we demand everybody to change who they are to fit our ideals). Everything I've heard from someone who has spent time with him on many different occasions, and from someone whoses opinion I trust and value, is that he couldn't be more different off the pitch, to how he is off it and that he is an extremely down to earth, quiet, generous and nice person who cares about his friends and family and his supporters very deeply. People are basing their opinion of him, as a person on and off the pitch away from the game, by solely his conduct on the pitch and what the extremely reliable and not at all agenda-driven media says (remember when they were all rushing to tell us how evil he was to kiss his hand after the handball goal at Mansfield? Then they all had to backtrack when they realised he does that every goal? That was when I realised it had gotten beyond a joke the way he is represented by the media. If his fellow professionals speak to Luis off the pitch in the players lounges etc after the game and through footy get to know him a little as a person off the pitch, based on what Ste has told me and what other people involved with the club have said about him, I'm sure they would see he's not this absolute horrible **** the media like to portay. If other players get to know the person Suarez actually really is, I'm sure most of them would have no issue voting for him for player of the year. He's not as hated as people make out. Since the diving stopped months ago he doesn't to be getting as much guff written about him and just getting plaudits for his talent and performances.
This, in Holland the fans loved him. Besides if I was a player I'd rather be a **** on the pitch than off it surely? Lets all hail Giggs for his brilliant football and being a terrible human being, proper selfish dishonest cheating scummer, I mean, doing one over on your own family and wrecking two families while he was at it. But that appears to be better than being a villain on the pitch according to PNP and HIAG and a few others. Neither of them know fk all about Suarez. HIAG is a lawyer apparently and he doesn't know what defamation of character is
What makes it so much sweeter is the seething jealousy from those two, they want Suarez and Liverpool to fail so badly, which is just sad. To bang on and on about the guys teeth C'mon! FFS All the whinging on here a while back about personal insults, kind of.. well.. you see what I'm getting at
OMGF, who's crying about negative rep Some of you are really pathetic. Like rep means anything, and if it did, and the rep score was in some accurate, some of you'd be -1m rep. But it means nothing! there's a rep thread ffs and some have over 1k rep, so stop whinging about it
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/liverpool/9905978/Liverpool-fear-that-sins-from-the-past-could-rob-striker-Luiz-Suarez-of-rightful-honour-of-being-player-of-the-year.html
Pretty poor excuse. I live in Spain. As I live in somebody else's country, I conform, as far as possible, to what is expected of me here. Suarez is a world class striker, but his antics very often detract from that. He knows what the rules are, they're not much different anywhere in Europe.
There's no doubt Suarez is having a very good season and is a quality player but do Liverpool fans on here really believe he's easily the player of the season? I'd have him on the short list but with Bale and Van Persie it's very hard to call in my opinion. His time will come though - next season he'll be at Watford and when he clinches the title for us on the last day there will be no arguments
I dont have to try and be clever, i was born it. Unlike some, who speak with a self confidence that is not backed up by natural talent. Ezekiel Friers is not and never will be the world beater you claim and I challenge you to find one Manchester United fan who thinks he is destined to be the worlds best left back. We will just have to give it time and see who is right. But considering Friers was a youth prospect about 2 and a half years ago and has made no strides forwards since, I think it is safe to say he is not turning his potential into the quality that would make him an asset on an international level. HIAG, you are like too many people in this country. Mouthy and arrogant, with nothing to back it up.
There's really little point having this argument as you can't see past your own bias. You'll twist anything you can to make it look better for Suarez, even talking about your own team as "****" and creating nothing. The indignation has kicked into overdrive with your fans ever since he overtook RVP in the scoring charts but the reality is no one rates a player as highly for tearing apart Wigan and Norwich, scoring 9 goals compared to RVP who consistently makes the difference in big games and still scores consistently everywhere else. Saying RVP wouldn't have done as well over the last 2 and a half years at a "****" team like Liverpool is blind speculation at best.
Given the way that Sir Alex Ferguson reacted when Spurs signed him I think it's safe to say that he is rated very highly indeed by people who know what they're doing. But of course that doesn't guarantee anything - he did sign Eric Djemba Djemba and Klebersson after all.......
Really!, so what was my history lessons at school in aid of? does that mean all the descriptions of our monarchs for example is bullshit just because everyone who knew them is dead and we can't ask for a character reference?? ...bloody hell mate, I've met some dillons before, but the biscuit is all yours atm. Now which size shovel do you want to keep digging this hole?
When did I even imply that? My point is and has clearly been this whole time that players will be less likely to vote for Suarez because of his behaviour on the pitch. Stewart Downing agrees with me and Gaf's even posted a link to your manager saying the same thing. Have you ever considered actually reading people's comments, rather than attributing random emotions to them based upon misconceptions, BBF? Not picking up The Player of the Year Award wouldn't be failure for Liverpool or Suarez anyway, so I've no idea what you're on about, frankly. You seem to be confusing what people think will happen with what they want to happen. They're not necessarily the same thing.
I think BBF is trying to get himself banned, probably considers it a badge of honour. It's literally the only plausible explanation for such repeated obtusity.
