Why say it in the first place then? I was just adding perspective if needed that fans of other clubs could feel similar too, if you already knew that then why say it in the first place.

It is the reason - it's just obviously not a golden ticket. I'm not saying we deserve to be higher than we are, just that our position is largely our own fault - we could and probably should be higher, but have ourselves to blame.

I imagine most fans could argue similarly, yes.

If I am to be brutally honest with myself, I'd have to say that Goofy played an absolute blinder for you, this weekend, as did that young Brazilian lad. If only you had at least 9 more players like those 2, you'd be in with a should of top 4.

<ok>

To be fair EIGHT more like them and we'd be top. I wouldn't put either in goal, well maybe Suarez :)

Suarez may well be a lovely person off the pitch, but most players won't know him in that capacity.
I doubt any of the defenders that he's raked down the back of the leg will be putting him up for any awards.

Thats why, when Gareth 7 good games Bale wins, it will officially be a popularity contest.

I'd like a striker with Suarez's abilities, but I wouldn't want Goofy any where near Spurs. We have a tradition of not giving any truck to racists or nasty pieces of work.

As regards a LB, most Spurs fans will tell you they are more than happy with Benny. Plus, we've nicked that young LB prodigy off United, whom I would expect to be the next Ashley Cole, if all the hype surrounding him is anything to go by. Certainly, old bacon face wasn't too pleased about losing him to us.

Still flogging that dead donkey<ok>

A lawyer that can't count. Classic.

on the pitch 20 goals, shove that in your pipe and smoke it, bitterness over the best player in the perm will get you nowhere, you are 3rd yet you gob on about Suarez<laugh> Top Scorer in as you lot call us such a bad team ain't bad going.

on the pitch he's awesome, was awesome in Holland and very good internationally, essentially better, far better than anyone playing for Spurs. You might now want him but your manager and owners would cream themselves if they could tie him to a contract at WHL<ok> it just ain't ever gonna happen. ANd when Gareth leaves ye, well, lets see what happens shall we?

Ezekiel Friers the next Ashley Cole...... So what you are saying is that Ezekiel Friers is going to be the best left back in the world?

That is properly hilarious. Why do you think Utd let him go? Watched him several times for the reserves and Sterling tore him to pieces on each occassion.

You need to do some research before making ridiculous statements.

LOL@HIAG, Manu take Carrick Berba like players from Spurs and Spurs get Manu rejects and claim they'll be world beaters<laugh>

And they call us deluded<doh> Their very own great Berba couldn't even cut it at MU

Spurs for all their greatness have not even managed an as high finish in the PL as dysfunctional Liverpool.. Ever..<laugh>

3rd is giving them vertigo. I won't even get into honours won, not even in the last 2 years<laugh>

Make that the last year!

Looking for success at Spurs is like looking for unspoiled turkey in a chelsea FC canteen

Couldn't he?

Berbatov was top scorer in the PL in 2010/11 when we were champions. That's like Suarez with an end product.

As for Carrick, show me a better midfielder this season. I think his contribution has been as important as RvP's. It's no coincidence that he's played 55 of the last 57 PL games.

He's clearly talking about quality of player and not positions, as you wouldn't want 8 forwards and midfielders as your outfield players, either. <doh>

Do you actually read this stuff before you post it?
Leaving aside Suarez' abilities in the Perm (Keegan's?), nobody's bitter about him, they're just pointing out that it's unlikely that people he's booted all over the place and abused will vote for him.
Not sure why that's controversial for you.

We heard all this "when so and so" leaves stuff last season and the one before that, too. Hasn't helped you to overtake us yet, has it?
Back to the next year is our year ****e already, I guess.

Spurs for all their greatness have not even managed an as high finish in the PL as dysfunctional Liverpool.. Ever..<laugh>

What are you on about? We've finished above you for a couple of seasons now, BBF. Are you feeling alright?
As for Berbatov failing at Man Utd, he cost them £30m+, so we don't care. He also finished top scorer as they won a couple of titles, so I doubt he does, either.

I think he means that we haven't finished as high in the Premier League as their best. It's another fine point because we're always going on about how great Tottenham have been throughout the whole Premier League era and how poor Liverpool have been in the same period :D

This week is really going to be unbearable isn't it <laugh>

Mousers, we've got a game against Inter in a few days which deserves our consideration. I know you're lacking in an equivalent preoccupation, but do you think you could hold your 'thoughts' back a little until we're able to give you our full attention?

Thank your lucky stars you have him, because without him and his goals, you'd be fighting a relegation battle right now.

As much as I detest the man, I have to admit that he is carrying 'Pool at the moment. Take him away, and you are a very average Championship side.
