He has really blown it and if Blackburn do not get promoted he will not be going there in the next transfer window, whatever happens it was last thursday or never, thats why he jumped ship with us and tried his luck elsewhere.
2 points. Whatever Blackburn offered him is now irrelevant. No deal was finalised in time so he is a QPR player on the contract he got with them years ago. Even if he goes to Blackburn on loan they pay QPR and QPR pay the player. Blackburn can renegotiate in the summer, but of course then DJ is out of contract and getting nothing unless he gets another club. I would think Blackburn will then be in a much stronger position IF they still want him. Secondly, like Steve Bruce, I have no problem with him doing the best for himself, my problem with him is the way he did it. Basically dishonest. Saying he is going for lunch when in fact he was going to a pre arranged meeting and Medical at Blackburn makes him a **** in my book.
It doesn't look like we'll be coming back in for DJ Campbell, no surprises there. Reporter: "Will you go back in for DJ Campbell?" Steve Bruce: "Will I b*******"
never felt right did it? what a laugh - Odemwhingie, Boyd's eye test, DJ gold tooth.. sod them.. Up the Tigers up the egypt!!
Don't be too harsh on him. I noticed he was lurking on the Millwall game thread - probably all ready to start wumming if we conceded - but we didn't and now this is all he has left.
I was actually keeping an eye on the score through your thread. You all listening to radios would update the game quicker than the BBC would
DJ changed his story, he says he felt dis-respected and decided to go for lunch and talk about it. When he was there it was decided that he would go home, but then he went to Blackburn. Steve Bruce has said he was at Wembley and that DJ told the Hull City staff that he was going to get a coffee, then he went AWOL for two hours until finally contacting City to ask if they would beat Blackburns offer! When will you go for lunch?
Get a life you sad ****. We really have dodged a bullet with this one though. I fully expect Bruce will have a few irons in the fire.
DJ will always 'want' to play for whichever club comes up with most dosh ... he is the epitome of many a modern footballer -a triumph of ambition over talent - he is more an athlete than a footballer - his first touch is distinctly average but he is quick enough to sometimes make up for that .... my missus hates football but understands the offside rule better than DJ .... as an athletic guy playing football (rather than a footballer) he will get his share of goals until his pace starts to desert him ... as a human being he is the equivalent of slug spunk ...
We have dodged a bullet, to be fair the Leicester lads did warn us in the same way the Fulham lads warned us about Bullard. We need an experienced striker, but personally, I'm glad it won't be him.
