This is interesting....according to the Fail:

"It looked like Campbell was all set for a move to the Tigers until he rejected the offer in favour of a lucrative deal with Blackburn Rovers.

But in a further twist, it appears that Rovers then failed to lodge the paperwork before the 11pm deadline- meaning the deal is now unlikely to be approved."

But that means that QPR will lose out on a transfer fee. Wonder if they will play ball or will smell a rat

Humberside Radio reported that he turned up in Hull for his medical but left without conducting it due to Blackburns offer. What a tossa!!!

"Don't think he can Mussie, think the emergency loans are for the Football League clubs only, but I might be wrong."
"Aren't players limited to 93 days emergency loan per season? Wasn't he at Ipswich on emergency? Snigger"

FFS <doh>

You could probably argue that if had reached that stage with us, he should have followed it through. Having said that, I dont know of anyone who would turn away increased wages. Regardless of the salary levels.

Should have gone straight there shouldn't he. Could have been in time if greed hadn't overpowered him.

If I was QPR I'd lend him to anyone except Blackburn. - Or I'd demand a loan fee plus his wages paying in full. Don't see why QPR should lose out on the transfer fee because the player/Blackburn ****ed up on their paperwork/timings.

Funny thing is he may find in summer that Blackburn decide he can't do the job for them and Palace and us have filled the gap. DJ left without a contract (or wages) and no new suitors - I guess he could try League 1.

He will always get a contract somewhere, but I'm assuming Blackburn must have offered him north of 30k a week. He will be hard pushed to get there anywhere else now.

It was probably Shebby Singh in charge of sorting out the paperwork..

According to Andrew Cryer, who writes for Blackburn, Singh had no involvement this window

Andrew Cryer ‏@CryerRovers
Shebby Singh was unaware of the developments. Was not involved in this transfer window at all
