Several things concern me at the moment, firstly this talk of Bayo and how we are going to clinch any deal if there is any truth in the rumours. I do seriously hope that Danny Jackman is not the part of any package. Just saying.

Next, I do not like all this praise for Keds, regardless of what may have gone before, generally if I see praise for a player and that same player confirming his position as wanting to be at the club, I start reading other signals into that. Suspicious.
 
Jason Scotland is likely to go to doncaster or wolves. Too expensive for us and I doubt we are interested anyway
 
I hadn't thought about Jackman going as part of the deal. That would clearly make sense. We may not want him to go, but MA rarely plays him, and he player himself asked to go on loan back in November, so from Jackmans point of view it would probably be a good move, rather than being a bench warmer here.

That would be a big two fingers up at people who doubt his ability though.
 
Seeing as we seem to be going for people returning to Priestfield at the mo it came as little surprise to see in the Sun that (page 52 right hand column top left yellow box) Jordan Obita is set to return on loan. Piece reads:

"JORDAN OBITA is set to join Gillingham on a one month loan for a second time. The Reading winger, 19, first moved to the League One Gills last March. He played six games and scored three goals."

I say little surprised because 1, we're in the Sun and 2, they say we're league one lol. Quality all around as always in the Sun.

To be fair though, I would be more than happy with bringing Obita back. Added speed, agility, a great touch and a good finish too. Perhaps a perfect foil for Weston?
 
If memory serves me correctly has Obita not got more strength than Weston for that final edge to get into the box?
 
Obita has said on his twitter that he has absolutely no idea where the Gillingham rumour came from. Shame because I liked Obita. Although it appears if they used to play for us, someone is gonna say they are on their way back. Here's the list I've seen so far of our ex players coming back:

Cody McDonald (ok that one's happening)
Bayo Akinfenwa
Gavin Tomlin
Andy Barcham
Jordan Obita
Simeon Jackson
Chris Dickson

Surprised no-one has mentioned Gary Mulligan or Guylain Ndumbu-Nsungu yet <laugh>
 
Just want to say a big thank you to all the regulars on here! Its hard keeping up with all things GFC when you live in a different county! although I haven't contributed as much as i did on 606, I'm still a avid viewer on this site and its by far the best for news and gossip!

Yeah on loan which is strange when I thought he was actually released, because I thought only Flitney, Strevens, Essam were the ones who were listed for free I thought the 4 young players were released.
Hopefully Evans will do well on the loan however he will not be able to displace Fish (nice use of place) but I think he has a future as a right sided midfielder.
 
With Allen it's not need it's who will improve the team. That's all he is worried about. If we have severe need he will go out and find it.

Also if wright comes in and Payne goes out we still need a replacement for Montrose
 
Would be very pleased if this came off, he's creative, switches play well and can score goals.

He's more of a just behind the sriker player as opposed to centre mid.

Was very impressed with him when we lost to Exeter, he ran the show and showed class throughout.
