This sums him up nicely for me. Yeah he works hard, yeah he's been a good servant, but he's still ****, can't trap a call, beat a man, tackle, pass, cross or head. Best of luck to him but no loss as far as I'm concerned.

A bit harsh, he's certainly no Nani, but he can run with the ball fairly well and he can beat a man, he's good in the air. He's dependable, rather than being an exciting player, but he's regularly done a good job for us and I'd definitely rather have him in the starting XI than Harper or Dawson.
 
i wonder what we'll do about his contract.. it was only a 1 year deal we offered him but if he's only going to be fit for 5 months or so... might be wise to let him move on.
 
****in hell he's so unlucky with injuries!

This is the like the 4th time we've had a player play on through injury only to realise he'd done horrific damage to his knee in doing so, in the last 3 years.

I was looking forward to him in a settled side next season, so now we have no left or central midfielders and only one right winger!
 
Garcia was one of those that come into the unfairly scapegoated category, he's a good pro and does his job for the team. I feel sorry for him if he is let go but if the option was there for him to stay and he didn't take it, then unfortunately he's shot himself in the foot (or maybe knee in this case).
 
We should at least let him work with Maltby and his team for the next year to see if we can get him fit, even if he isn't offered a new deal.
 
Tbh most of the criticism was of him as a striker, which tbh he was not a striker and he was very poor upfront. But that was as much down to the situation that we was in, as Simpson was really not up to it at the time and we had no other option.

However as a winger at this level he would of done a job, he was a good option to have, shame about his knee but i would personally not offer him a contract. We are a football club sympathy can not come into it. Move on and save ourselves some money. It may sound harsh but we can't afford to live in the past.

Glad to hear it, hopefully he'll get fit soon enough and be able to play for us again. He's a much better player than he's ever given credit for.

The article just says we'll look after him until his contract expires in July, then it will be reviewed again.

The reality is, that he won't actually need any looking after between now and the end of July, as his rehab won't start until after that.
 
Good player at this level, sad to see the news but he will come back from it and will probs head home to Aussie! every team there will presumably offer him a deal
 
that timing is pretty unfortunate, it must be said. i personally have a lot of time for him, i definitely think he can still offer something as a squad player
 
He isn't the most exciting player but he did a job for us, while giving his all in every game he played.

Hopefully he can get fit and find himself a new club as soon as possible
 
Ah well, never mind! He did try hard when played but had very little success. He must have done something in training because every manager we have had likes him and plays him. With him not available for selection at least they can forget about him and look for a replacement. I do think the club will stick by him whilst injured and then reassess him after injury and then decide whether to give him a contract until end of next year.
I bet he regrets not signing the contract offered now, silly boy!!!!!!!
 
A good squad player who always gave 100%
Seems to be our only player who could play as a loan striker, plus useful on right side of midfield.

sad for the bloke and a loss for hull city. one of the true pros still around int he game. i d put him as a role model for my kids a long way before most other so called professionals of today
