End of season ....... no big deal ...... we beat Bristol when we had to ......... at Wembley ..... so a few weeks to chill and then reserve your venom or praise for a new season ....... lets see who comes and who goes ..... should be interesting
tbh i couldn't of give a ****.glad to see the back of this season.bout time the 'fantastic away support' got **** on.
I think that whilst NP has done some good things and made some fantastic signings, he does a lot to suggest he couldn't give a **** about the fans. He's decided to cancel the annual fans' forum, simply because he doesn't fancy it. The end of season awards has now been postponed and possibly cancelled (I reckon he might not have fancied this either), and just like Scunny' new manager, he's a right prick when he's getting interviewed. This said, I have heard he's a great bloke in person, and I'm not going to dispute that. I just think it would be nice of him to show he cares about the fans, even a tiny bit.
What end of season fans forum has he cancelled? The end of season awards were cancelled because the bloke that's won the main award has ****ed off back to Cardiff!
He hasn't cancelled it, it hasn't been arranged because Nigel didn't fancy it, Humberside have been on about the club being keen to hold one all season, Nigel is the only one opposed to one. At the moment because we've had a good run of form there is no pressure on him, but if and when things start to go wrong it's things like this that mean fans could be quicker to turn on him because he gives the impression he doesn't care about us.
Maybe, just maybe, he feels that it is more important to get our transfers/loans sorted out before the Fans Forum needs to take place when he can be more relaxed and be able to give the "fans" what they deserve from him, i.e., his full attention?
Poor memory, we had one last year with Pearson and Brown. Edit: I also remember one with Duffen (quite rightly) questioning Rugby League fans intelligence. Edit 2: Are you thinking of the FLC?
You could have just said there was one last season, you didn't need to add a derogatory remark first. Where and when was it?
I wanna say it was in February, it was at the stadium wherever they have them (Sports Bar/Kingston suite?).
Duffen and Browne did an OSC forum at the KC in February 2009, which went out live on Blunderside, but I can find no record of a Pearson/Brown one last year.
It might have been November, I remember it because a fan asked about possible FA sanctions for our financial situation, and Pearson had to be careful about he worded his answer. I'm taking a break from my revision to find it on the OWS, hope you appreciate this effort.
You know, OLM, I think Twf'y has something here, I remember something along the lines he has quoted! Or was it in the press????
Pearson had to carefully field plenty of questions about our financial circumstances and any FA sanction implications, I just don't remember any fans forum with Pearson and Brownie last year. It's precise because of those sort of questions that I don't think one took place.
I think there was a Brown/Pearson one last year. It would have been February time. I seem to remember discussing the consequences of if we went down. That was when he first announced that the Academy was on hold, and would only be built if we stayed up. It wasn't long before Brown got the push.
I'm sure there was a fans forum around that time, whether the two are mixed up in my head (I don't know?), but I think you even posted on this!!! Was it in Hessle??? Damn this Altzheimers!!!
Right, it DEFINITELY happened, I can't find the article on the OWS (have they never heard of a news archive?). This'll mean nothing to you, but I remember listening to it at uni, which means it could have only been last year. Anyway, I'm gonna stick to my claim anyway, not like anybody else on here bothers to post sources...
