Johnny come lately, you really have no idea,we were playing in europe when you were still a 2nd division club.our history goes way back longer than yours.

Yeah fair comment, he does have loads of tallent, he just doesn't seem to understand or doesn't care how his actions make him look like a twat. Same as balotelli who i don't rate very highly at all, not sure why Mancini insists on playing him.
I don't think he cares... in fairness to him he's still being paid a lot of money, so he probably doesn't feel the need to change.

Couldn't agree more. I know we all like to get on the backs of opposition players but i don't really see why they are expected to be paragons of virtue. They're young men earning millions of pounds and feted by the world. If that was me I doubt I'd be too bothered about how i behaved provided, of course, that it didnlt impact upon performance on the pitch.
I would expect them not to bite people though! I don't expect them to be saints as I wouldn't be but I would like to think I wouldn't be like Suarez.

We were league champions in 1900.![]()
Same here. Well, Southern League...
Going back to the Anfield Shirt, surely the photo used for it is Photoshopped? I've never seen a blue sky in Liverpool in my life!

I know most of us will defend everything about our clubs to the death, and for once I'm ot going to make any snide comments about the fanbase, but surely no Liverpool fan will be able to say they like that or are going to buy it - it's hideous. Thank God Watford's merchandising is non existent these days as I'd be mortified to see our building site printed on a shirt![]()
How many titles or trophies have the great Spurs, or even Arsenal for that matter, a team allegedly more 'relevant' than LFC now, won in the last 8 years or even further back? How many trophies won since the turn of the Millenium or even since the Prem began?
The only team that will ever get anywhere near as successful in the future as we have been, or even have the riht to be compared with our club in terms of success, is the Mancs, which is why I have a hate-filled respect for them. This brings me to my next point:
Other Liverpool fans ask me a lot; "why do you hate Spurs"? (Spurs are an utter irrelevance to most LFC fans truth be told for obvious reasons).
My answer is, I don't hate Spurs, I hate their fans because their club have achieved nothing in our great sport compared to other teams. Nothing recent beyond an odd cup win and getting in the CL ****ing once (wow and you got all the the way to the quarters, big deal - we always got to the quarters we were angry if we only got to the quarters!)
You won't find me ripping on any Manc or Arsenal boards because they have earned the right to rip Liverpool's recent blip. What they and their clubs have achieved is to be respected, maybe even admired. They have something to shout about and something of value, real concrete like, to back up their words.
However, even when those two teams started achieving their trophies and began to takeover Liverpool, they and their fans still respected what Liverpool had done and achieved before them and displayed some level of humility about their recent success, realising that they had only just arrived as "the best team in the country" and they didn't know how long it would last until they may have returned from whence they came.
Spurs, compared to these other teams, have achieved nothing really. Your claim to fame is that you have came 4th twice and finished above Liverpool 3 times. Thats it. Yet you carry on as some huge club who, like Liverpool all through 2000-2010, were bona fide Top 4 candidates, odds on to finish top 4. Even this hasn't been the case, as both times you came top 4, it was expected Arsenal, Chelsea, Utd and City would finish above you.
If your club had achieved the amount your bragging and talking would suggest I would respect you and your club and wouldn't be on your boards shutting you up. You are johnny come latelys, who aren't, as several people within the game have said, most recently Eduardo, a 'Big' and respected European team who is expected to be in the CL every season and who all the best players in Europe would be expected sign for.
The truth of the matter is you are a medium sized club toying with becoming a big club but just haven't quite got the resources to take the final step and at the same time don't have the history, reputation or pedigree (like Liverpool do) to compensate for this and get you over the line.
If I was a player thinking about my future club, wanting to play CL every year for the next 10 seasons, Spurs wouldn't be a club I'd automatically think off, and thats the truth of the matter that you all hate and can't face which is why you kid yourselves so much. Liverpool here have a luxury, because of our past and all this romanticism about our club, and the wondrous Anfield, and You'll Never Walk Alone etc etc, which, lets face it, is a load of bullshit that only people/players outside of the UK fall for, but I ain't complaining because its mean we sign players like Sahin and Suarez who, in our current plight, we have no right to be able to attract, especially over clubs currently doing better on the pitch (like Spurs and Arsenal) at the moment.
You don't have any of this bullshit and reputation etc behind you. People still are more likely to think in five years time you'll be back in mid-table as opposed to top 4 certs. The truth is it takes a hell of a lot of time and continued success to get that reputation among people in football whether that be players, staff, or fans. It is going to be a long time of you outshining us until people see Spurs in the same bracket as Liverpool in size or bigger than us.
Yet you lot act as if that is already the case and have done since the second you came above is 2010. Its nowhere near enough yet and in the grand scheme of things you've achieved and proved very little so far. You have no humility surrounding you recent 'success' or rise up the table unlike the Arsenal and Utd fans had. They knew in a few years time, things could go back to how they were before their success. You lot take it for granted already though you have never done any of it before and act so arrogant as if the last 3 seasons will repeat itself forevermore, and it won't IMO.
I can take it from the likes of Utd, Arsenal and even the Chavs. There big clubs with the recent trophies to back it up. But all Spurs have is one CL appearance and the "Finishing above Liverpool 2010-2012" trophy. and if your going to bring up the 'history' card then: 1) I am incredibly proud of our history and will never apologise for shouting about it as we earned and deserved every last one of those trophies, just as I'm sure you are proud of getting into the CL, and 2) Since 2000, off the top of my head we've one 13 cups since 2000. 2000 is not history. We won the biggest of them all in 2005. Thats only 7 years ago. We won the FA Cup in 2006, only 6 years ago, and we were in another, or SEVENTH CL final in 2007. Thats just 5 years ago, and we even won a mickey mouse cup just last year. Its still something, and we had to win it despite it being a ****e cup and I've had Gooners even say they'd love to win it just to start winning something again.
So until your medium sized club actually starts winning something, or at least bloody gets into the CL a few more times, and earns the right on merit to be referred to as a big club, I don't think Liverpool fans anywhere should be listening to your lot about who is "deluded" and which set of supporters need a reality check, and we most definitely do not need supporters of a club who've no idea what its like to support a team that wins their league or have seen their team win multiple European Cups.
The funny thing is, that Spurs fans acting the superior and being insufferable prematurely, before you've proven anything yet, could all fall apart pretty quickly as Spurs and Liverpool are both in a precarious spot right now, and in regards to the long term, both clubs are pretty evenly poised.
No-one knows what way it will turn out for the two clubs but Spurs fans in true "Mind The Gap" fashion seem to shouting off that the future is bright for them and they've already won the marathon, whereas Liverpool are doomed and already lost. But as I have just suggested, a few player departures (Alonso,Torres, Modric, VDV - highlight this perfectly), who keeps their best players, decent money spent or not spent, and/or their new Manager turning out to be a bad choice (this looks like it could easily be either AVB or Rodger's so far - neither have impressed yet), it really is impossible to say right here, right now, for certain, which club will be superior in 3-5 year time.
You lot and can see a bright future for Spurs and we can see an equally bright future for Liverpool. If nothing else it will be interesting to see where both clubs go in the next 5 years. I personally think we'll of overtaken you again, and be the better team which is sort of normality being resumed, as for the vast majority of time our two clubs have been around, ours has been the vastly superior. We still have our reputation to trade on and this season will see our revenues increased and back to the levels we had when we played in the CL every year thanks to our new sponsorship deals etc. (why as a club were valued more than most other clubs in the league).
I suppose what I'm trying to say is we'll start taking note of your opinions on our club when he have actually won something, or even played in the CL more than once.
Big club? Don't make me laugh!

I'm actually wearing a rather nice Liverpool top right now, from the online store. Black, red and white trim... Looks very smart.
