Didn't go today but I think he'll eventually come good, though probably not for a while and maybe not even this season. We're going to have to be patient with him. He's definitely talented but he doesn't seem used to the league yet.

The only time he's getting on the pitch is when we're lumping balls up and scrapping for possession, hes never going to do well like that because his strengths are clearly on the ground with his feet. He needs a go from the start so he can get some proper chances when we're comfortable on the ball and working it around, not scrapping about holding onto a lead or panicking for a goal.

Agreed, but we aren't gonna start him while Simpson and Aluko are playing well.

I don't think Simpsons played particularly well since Leeds away, wasn't too bad vs Blackpool but didn't do much today. Althought I wouldn't drop him.

Yeah suppose, still scored goals though including a belter of a finish against P'Boro.

Catch 22 - He won't get in the team until he is scoring regularly. He won't score regularly until he is in the team.

Will he break his duck?

Will he get a real chance?

Will he fit in with the squad?

How did he look today?

looked a very lonely and almost dishevelled figure at half time warming by himself, he looked a little lost when he came on apart from one good hold-up and lay-off on the half way line with back to goal, but overall still has to impress

takes a bloody good penalty though (ref: Rotherham)

Anyone notice at the full time whistle that he looked really disappointed? I'm not sure if I'm reading too much into it but he looked a bit lost. I think he'll come good as he needs time to adapt to the English game. Our brand of football is entirely different to the German League 2 style.

That was really odd, what the he'll is he doing playing keepy-uppy on his own at half time, why was he not with the other lads? He looked a lonely figure out there on his own, it seemed all wrong.

Against Blackpool he was laughing with Dawson and Rosenior on the touch line, is he only friends with certain players?

Just going by my own memory here, but I think when he signed, Bruce jokingly said something like "his English is better than mine" when asked if their would be an issue with the language barrier. To be honest, I think it may be because the majority of our team are young daft lads whilst I think he may be a bit more boring.

Maybe the other players have mentioned the war.

Time for the boys to take him on a works night out for a bit of bonding. Could go for a ruby, or maybe that German sausage place down prinny ave. Follow it with a few bevvies down newland, the continental lagers should suit him nicely, then some shots and a dance in piper. They'll all be best mates before you can say sieg heil!
