I agree with OLM - I would love to see Fryatt alongside Simpson with Aluko out wide. Not going to happen this season it seems. Question now is who do we bring in as I don't think either Proschwitz or Mclean are the answer as back up strikers.

I'd quit posting from now, you're making yourself look stupid.

You're probably correct, but that is out of context to when we needed him to score goals; the first half of the 2011 / 2012 season was barren for him, the second half brought bit of a purple-patch, but it was of no use to the overall aim. Think back to the multitude of fluffed opportunities he had - if there were stats for the player who botched the most assists, then I would think Matty would be streets ahead.

That is a rather cynical opinion to have of Fryatt,, Mussie ? :emoticon-0105-wink: But when the wife calls the shots and plays the tune Are you surprised ? :emoticon-0102-bigsm It could well be true. A comparrison with ex.Hull City(2002-2004) star Richard Appleby(sick note) springs to mind at the moment. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Assuming that Fryatts injury is genuine (and i shall say it is) then the blame lays on Steve Brucies doorstep for not taking him off in the Rotherham game as sson as Fryatt called out. He should also have gone under the knife weeks ago and not piss about with injections. Sadly i dont expect to see Fryatt back until April if at all this season. :(

At least by next July everything at Fryatt Mansions should be ship shape and his wife can release her hubby back to his normal job. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Hopefully, Fryatts wages should now covered by insurance.

I was having a laugh along the lines of what Mussie posted. I dont think Fryatt is doing an Appleby at all but it is quite easy to think along those lines just after the Fryatt family have moved away from the Hull area.

Its a shame as Fryatt would have had a field day with all the chances we are creating at the moment. imo,.

Disappointed he's injured as he would have added quality to a depleted squad, however Simpson cant be dropped at the minute so he may not have got in the team anyway

True. Maybe after the operation City can get Fryatt back ready all guns blazing for the run in. March maybe and April would be nice. If only off the bench for the last 20 mins or so.

We definitely needed him because Simpson will not be on form all season, I was just stating that I dont think Fryatt would have got in the team straight away if he was back in a couple of weeks

Does anyone else think Koren doesn't look the same without fryatt infront of him and vice versa? The pair link up so well together they're like a match made in heaven. I would definitely have fryatt playing if he was fit, next to Simpson with aluko pushed out wide.

That stat about top scorer in a calendar year is misleading. It's basically the top scorer out of the players who didn't do well enough in the first half of the year to get a move to the PL in the summer.
