no I call him fryup because I hold him in such high regard. <shakes head and walks away> we had simmo didnt we? I KNEW that Barmby wasn't good enough to bring out the best in him, THATS why we had to get rid of him.
You added that bit afterwards, hence the "Last edited by Jules'PattyNchips'Winfiel; Today at 08:58 PM." You'll note that that's 4 minutes after my post. Thanks.
Simpson is doing the business now, but what happens when he goes off the boil? Same with Aluko? We all know Fryatt could score goals- the amount varies.
Ive always liked Simpson, so I call him simmo cos it is easier to write than Simpson every time. I dont think Aluko will end up going off the boil - form is temporary and class is permanent, Aluko is class... Fryup?
I rather naively thought that this board was a melting pot of opinions. If I don't agree with the consensus on here, I get lambasted. I have differing opinions to OLM et al. Each time I have seen Fryup last season, I was unimpressed. He looked nervous.
You do realise that everyone else on here can post an opinion without comparing it to mine? Sad ****.
This is what annoys me - we always seem to get people injured who try to carry on and make it worse as a result. Bullard, Ashbee, Garcia (3 times), Hobbs and Cairney all got serious knee injuries and carried on playing before it became apparent they'd have to come off. Now Fryatt too. How can it keep going unnoticed so often? As many of you will know, I don't think it's a massive blow to the starting XI because Simpson is a better striker, but it'd be nice to have another attacker fit who isn't McLean or Proschwitz. Surely we'll need a centre back now? please log in to view this image Was it actually ruptured? I never heard that. It might well be now with him having broken down but I don't think it was originally. That is a fantastic post and I agree with every word. Well, until the bit about McShane's ability anyway We look a better team than with McLean leading the line, but I think we look better again with Simmo up there. You can't blame him for being injured. I actually agree with you that he is over-rated. Not that we should have sold him (for a start, you need a buyer) but it's not his fault he's got injured and you're generally talking balls on this thread. Sorry for the massive multi-quote post btw, for those that don't like them.
Sell our top scorer (even though he's injured now)? nope.. I'd never back that.. Matty I heard gets down on himself, maybe he's not arrogant enough to be a PL striker.. Simpson is just as good IMO.. I thought we should have cut out losses with Mclean though, he's not top end championship material.. Proschwitz needs to step up now, agreed, he's had his settling in period.. Cullen dissapointed me always thought he might be a hit in this division..
I loved Aaron last season, THIS season? not so much. I dont know just how long he needs to bed in, is it the pace of the championship that is so different? The only way (that I can see) him getting a chance is by playing him off the bench more often. hmm I wonder if SB's idea is to bring him on when we are comfortably infront.. I bet that was his idea against Posh, but it didn't work out that way.
At this moment in time, assuming he wasn't injured, I'd say fryatt is our best player and losing him is a big blow. However Simpson seems to be stepping up who is the same type of player but totally different if you know what I mean, so let's hope he keeps his form up and fryatt won't be missed so badly. Of our entire squad the only ones I think have the potential to play at a higher level than matty when all reach their best are aluko, chester, cairney, stewart, elmo, sumpson and possibly proschwitz, although I think it's a bit early to make that call on the big German. And of all those, the only 3 who I think will are aluko Elmo and chezzy
