No one has accused Celtic FC of anything that I am aware (Snide comments and insinuations from AJ aside) so there is absolutely nothing to investigate. There was an admission from Celtic that Junhino had an EBT and that matter has been settled to the satisfaction of the SFA/SPL, end of story.
IF Rangers did operate second contracts, then why Celtic should be investigated? What would be the reasoning or the grounds behind such an inquiry?
If someone has evidence that Celtic have acted improperly then they should come forward with it and letâs see whatâs what, but to suggest that if Celtic have nothing to hide then they should have no fears over an investigation is ludicrous. Letâs use a legal analogy. The Police cannot simply stop people in the street and do random searches in the hope that they will find something that they can then use to charge the individual, they need a reason to stop and search, suspicion of misdeeds is not a valid nor a legal reason.
If you had nothing to hide, would you not mind random coppers banging on your door asking to do a search because they found drugs in your neigbourâs gaff?

I have one question for you dev, if I decide to refuse a search on the grounds that the police have no reason to search me, and believe me its happened, what happens next?

Except AJ isn't one of those sad characters you hear on radio phone-ins. He was a central character in the whole story. You can't say that no accusations have been made, apart from the people we choose to ignore, so there's no case to answer.
To extend your analogy, if my neighbour said that everyone in the street has drugs too, which is essentially what AJ is doing, then the police would have every right to investigate and I would want to clear my name.
Could you legally refuse a strip search in the street if the Police asked you? Yes.
Would they probably still find an excuse to search you anyway? Again, yes.
Can Celtic refuse an investigation based on the word of Johnson? Yes.
Could the SPL/SFA force an investgation after making up another reason. No.

Bullshit accusations from a position of bias are not reasonable grounds to investigate anyone, let alone Celtic. He was never a director at Celtic FC so he should keep his mouth firmly cloesd and stop attempting to appeal to the nutters.

Not exactly something I didn't know but you are the first (albeit ex) copper to actually admit searching people when you have no suspicion happens and it is perfectly fine and reasonable.

How exactly does he know what contracts Celtic operated? If he alleged that Celtic were operating a child prostitution ring at Lennoxtown would an investigation be justified?

If what you said was true it would make the anonymous system for reporting drug dealers in your area absolutely useless.
It's the polices job to investigate claims and decide if any further action should be taken.
Nothing else need be said - Johnston is an utter cretin who lied in the past about all of this and went to massive lengths to hide his board's wrongdoing - he even apologised for it.
