not hit a nerve with me, as ive mentioned on another thread, funny how everybody that was having a dig at the non singers at coventry, seemed to get lost on the way to swansea last tuesday..yet no doubht, theyl be back at qpr, acting the superfan ;)

There were quite a few at the back (Swansea) having a go at the supporters who weren't singing at the front. Something along the lines of: you've travelled so far and still don't sing

A shame because at least they were at the game. I was lucky that it was the Easter holidays for Sussex.

i will be making as much noise as I can on saturday, not often I get to the KC. I won't however be getting on the pitch and doing a Delia Smith though

You do a Delia and you get left at the KC ;) Just joking, but it is a 200 mile round trip for us

What about singers that want to sit down. :p (Yeah, my gob doesn't stop working just because I'm not stood up)

Can you tell us where anyone sitting down sings in the KC? Not the West Stand. Or the South Stand. Norths STand sees all away fans standing for 90 minutes (without stewards bothering them). So where are the sedentary singers?

I think the article I saw on noise at the grounds was in the Sun so I will go with OLM's version, still 7th from bottom is no great shakes. Someone has to take the initiative to get the atmosphere revved up soon, hopefully somebody reading a thread like this might come up with a few workable ideas.

This was the fan vote on stadium atmosphere when we were in the Premier League(12,000 votes), seven clubs came below us:

Emirates Stadium (Arsenal) 4.04% (480 votes)

Villa Park (Aston Villa) 4.22% (501 votes)

Any survey which shows Upton Park to have less atmosphere than the KC is not to be taken seriously.

Ewood Park (Blackburn) 0.84% (100 votes)

Reebok Stadium (Bolton) 0.74% (88 votes)

Stamford Bridge (Chelsea) 0.78% (93 votes)

Goodison Park (Everton) 17.33% (2,060 votes)

Craven Cottage (Fulham) 0.73% (87 votes)

KC Stadium (Hull) 1.79% (213 votes)

Anfield (Liverpool) 11.01% (1,309 votes)

Eastlands (Man City) 3.21% (382 votes)

Old Trafford (Man United) 2.09% (249 votes)

Riverside Stadium (Middlesbrough) 0.95% (113 votes)

St James' Park (Newcastle) 8.93% (1,062 votes)

Fratton Park (Portsmouth) 5.06% (601 votes)

Britannia Stadium (Stoke) 2.6% (309 votes)

Stadium of Light (Sunderland) 15.68% (1,864 votes)

White Hart Lane (Tottenham) 12.44% (1,479 votes)

Hawthorns (West Brom) 5.91% (702 votes)

Upton Park (West Ham) 1.07% (127 votes)

JJB Stadium (Wigan) 0.56% (67 votes)

Any survey which shows Upton Park to have less atmosphere than the KC is not to be trusted.

Allegedly!!!!!!

No allegedly about it. I've been in corporate a few times and there are plenty of people in there who were amongst the 3,000 at BP in the old days (unlike some who go now, but weren't there then, and tell everyone how they should behave at football games, sit down, don't make too much noise etc) and others who try and conceal their City tattos they had done when they were youngsters.

Well it was tongue in cheek given the only options offered were sit and be quiet or stand and sing, but try reading the post you're quoting and the discussion that followed. I'm aware of a few people dotted round me that sing whilst sitting because they have kids or short people sat behind them. Sitting and singing aren't exclusive states for people to be in.
