shame to concede that penalty. Newcastle haven't really been a threat all game. our goal was from a scrappy flap from Kruhl.

I can't see us creating anything now.

Hopeully HK will produce somemagic on his debut, cause that's what we're gonna need to get a result.

but it means things can be put right..it means it is not because AVB was incompetent etc..it means 2 individuals had a lapse of concentration...we could win and the headlines wouldnt change..it would then be the manner of the victory or something else..dont let the hacks cloud your view..and ill blame Levy for not giving AVB a full squad to work with before i blame AVB.

surely we are here for the long run.
 
Don't read the match reports on this. You'll only get frustrated. Footie writers tend to go with the scoreline rather than the content of the game, so you'll see many of them writing that the barcodes deserved it, which they patently didn't.

CJ...i had a quiet word with myself this summer...and i think for us to be where we are with the money we have and the competiton we have is quiet a feat...the only way we can move onto another level is by Levy getting the money out....that is not AVB's fault......this is not AVB's 3rd season in charge..this is his first match.

Sad result - we didn't deserve to lose on the balance on play but that's the way it goes.

Think we played pretty well all things considered.

Newcastle will do well this season I think.
 
At the risk of invoking some Levy-bashing, one think I do say (and have said before) is he needs a deputy to work on deals if he's indisposed, such as he was after his mother died or he is with his wife seriously ill. He can;t do everything himself, and does need somebody he can work with in order to share the workload and carry on if he;s called away for whatever reason.

If that sorted out a striker for us, it would be worthwhile.

It was a rhetorical question dimwit. You made an insult at his mum after he made a slight dig at your team, extreme childishness at it's very best.
 
Just looking at the stats on the BBC website and we had twice as many shots etc, and for a vast majority of the game it showed we had more possession too. Now the game has ended suddenly the final possession has been changed to 60% barcodes, surely that is wrong? We surely had more possession than them?
 
Pleased with the performance, two lapses cost us but I think what really cost us was not having a striker of Ba's quality upfront. Don't get me wrong, Defoe's a good striker but he had to work really hard to get into the game in the second half, a striker that's more suited to the role could've given us a point or even 3
