Yes we were, Fits the type of player we want, Winger/striker. Wondered if His West Ham trial fell through we could maybe nip on depending on Wages etc. Nothing about signing him on there forums or sky sports
That figures with what Norwich City already had and what they have signed up this summer. Our match with Norwich on tuesday should be very interesting indeed. Looking forward to a good game @ the KC.
What happened to the "Tunneycliffe & Michael Keane" loans from Man U ? They were well rumoured on BBC Sport to be on their way, some weeka ago ! Think they're all back from South Africa now! All gone quiet at the moment--any news from anybody in the know" ?
Man United decided to hang on to Tunnicliffe, they think about ready for some first team action. And Keane isn't coming because we signed puke boy.
Are you sure there isn't something personal between you and Bruce Jnr OLM, you seem very bitter towards him For some reason.
It's not personal, I don't know Alex Bruce, I just resent our manager abusing his position and potentially damaging the careers of other members of the squad. At some point, in the not too distant future, both dad and son will wish they hadn't made this mistake, just like they did last time(I'd put money on it).
Don't know if it's been said but i read somewhere that John Oster is on trial with us free agent now after not signing a new deal with Donny, don't know much about him though
SAF is still assessing who he is keeping and who can move on. But it could well go down to the end of August. Also when the loan window opens up on 8th sept we can move then. I dont see any rush but SAF has the final say. MU looks set to splash some big cash soon. If Man Utd are serious about winning trophies the likes of Tunnicliffe, Keane, King and co. need to move on as they are nowhere near ready for first team action. Plus the 25 man squad rules also apply. The next 4 weeks should be very interesting. plus... TWS look to have won the race to sign Lee Peltier from Lesta for around £600,000 www.skysports.com/transfer-centre/papertalk or www1.skysports.com/transfer-centre/papertalk shows Robert Koren to have snubbed Lesta and signed up for Hull. Lol. Blackburn are to sell Morten Gamst Pedersen and will have a bid for Udders Jordan Rhodes £6m rejected. Wolverhampton have confirmed that winger Adam Hammill can leave at the right price. Cardiff City have completed the signing of DQPR striker Heidar Helguson to replace Kenny Miller. O/T..AFC Wimbledon v. Portsmouth friendly on weds 8th August has an interesting programme. On the back page the Pompey team sheet is blank apart that is from the Manager and coaches. At the time of going to print Pompey could not name one player. www.metro.co.uk/sport/oddballs/9071...ouths-team-sheet-for-wimbledon-friendly-empty
He's a very good defender at championship level, though he lacks pace. He's a good organiser and can read the game well. He'll chip in with goals from set pieces. I'd say between 1-2 mill.
Solid commanding centre back who was also great at getting forward and scoring headers, something we missed last season. I trout he was brilliant but he needs a quick centre back partner as he is quite slow, but I definitely think he would be a step up from what you had last season. I would have him back but he wouldn't be cover and Chester and Hobbs are our best pairing now.
He'd be good next to a pacy defender who can play the ball, as his distribution isn't the best. But in tandem with this type of player he'd make a formidable partnership at champ level.
He won player of the season, which probably tells you all you need to know. He's more like Hobbs than Chester, an old fashioned strong centre back. Cardiff don't really want him and he's in his last year, so his fee probably won't even hit seven figures.
1-2 million is a bit generous! Reckon he'll go for between 500k and 750k. Was consistently good for us but if the question is how much would I be prepared to pay for him now, then very little, as we already have 4 decent defenders, and he'd probably be 4th choice.
