Cycling is a simple sport; 4 women chase each other round as fast as they can, people break world records, and at the end, the Germans win.

(I must admit though, for an event that is about pure power, it's a bit weird for such a harsh line to be taken on technicalities. I also fail to see what advantage is gained by having the second sprinter having to go further unassisted.)
