Get the **** in there! My olympics experience has improved massively over the last 24 hrs. I got to watch Maria Kirilenko in the tennis please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image and then a brilliant performance from our football team.
The Olympics were today officially crowned a success. The Australian rowers have complained that the vocal home support gives the GB an unfair advantage! These Aussies are on the ball you know!
In Beijing they complained that a lot of sports shouldn't be in the olympics anymore. Coincidentally, they were all sports GB got lots of medals at.
Surely, you're kidding..? What happened at Sydney 2000 then..? Did the Australian crowd politely clap every competitor..? I remember the last comment the Aussies made, in 2008, about GB being best at every sport where you sit down, but that one takes the biscuit. Talk about Sour Grapes..! They've rotted in the Aussie's mouths
Emma Pooley for a medal. I can feel it in my bones. I'd quite like to feel Emma Pooley in my bones...
Interesting side note. Compared to our medal tally at this time in the Beijing games, we're not actually too far off. Compared to after Day 4 (yesterday) of Beijing, we have 1 less Bronze and 2 less Gold, but 1 more Silver. Obviously we now have our first Gold of these games, and potentially another medal or two later on with the Cycling etc. Source - http://infostradalive.com/post/28480116891/infographic-medal-table-after-day-4-2008-comparison
Good news...disgraceful doesn't even begin to describe their behaviour. Imagine how cheated the spectators felt. Must admit I didn't think the authorities would have the sphericals to do it.
