Jennifer Anniston is not a good actress. Since Friends she has been in some of the worst films in living memory (and she wasn't the best thing in those films either).

Just because she's taken some bad roles doesn't make her a bad actress. I thought she was decent in Friends considering she hadn't acted much before, and I liked Office Space, Bruce Almighty and The Break-Up. Not classics by any means, but decent films.

Film and TV acting is different (at least for Americans)...remember excruciating episodes of Friends with Brad Pitt and Bruce Willis...they were awful. British actors seem to be more adaptable...probably why they are given so many starring roles in US tv,

    The cursed Sohma family.

I like Ranma1/2 which is a lot sillier, but also involves a curse to the main characters, where contact with water changes them in various ways. Written by the same author of Urusei Yatsura, (Rumiko Takahashi) which is one of my all time faves.

The story of how he got his big thumb, in the first series, had me in fits.

I couldn't remember the name. Tohru Honda is awesome though. Not sure if realistically anyone would quite have her personality. She's just so positive.

Do try Urusei or Ranma I'm sure you'd get a kick out of them. Try this link to get an idea of what's going on, and watch maybe, Urusei Yatsura Only You, first.

"Oh the pus, the pain, the black voodoo, the wet jigsaw puzzle." I was tripping just a little bit when I watched The Hitcher the first time, so had to watch it again when I had straightened up, just to check that I had actually seen what I thought I had <laugh>

Always thought Ross was funniest, by a country mile.

As for the girls, not funny, but then, girls are never that funny. FACT.

Looks-wise, I always put Monica above Rachel. But then I was always strangely attracted to the bird with the annoying laugh too. What was her name? Janice or something? I definitely would!!

I hardly watch any TV nowadays, and in the past, TV seemed to be much better, in terms of story. I guess, like a lot of kids though, the original Star Trek hit me between the eyes. I used to run home from The Dell, and having missed about 5 minutes, my Dad would bring me upto speed, and then I'd be engrossed. Funnily enough, that quick exit from the ol' Girl has stayed with me, and when I can attend a match, I wait until the final whistle, and then, zoom I'm gone.

Later on there was The Onedin Line, Poldark and Colditz, etc... My mate used to come round, so we'd go out for a few beers, and we'd get stuck in front of one of those three. We'd still get to the pub though. As I said, nowadays I hardly watch anything apart from the occasional QI or HIGNFY. I did avidly watch every episode of Zen, and the comedy Episodes, which was hilarious. I used to watch F1 until about 15 years ago when I found that I'd fall asleep through sheer boredom. So that meant that roughly only 2 Sundays per spring/summer/autumn month would be taken up with watching everything MotoGP. Since 2006 I've recorded every senior race and quite a few of the 125s, 250s, Moto2 and Moto3 aswell. Occasionally I'll re-watch classic races like the Catalunya MotoGP 2009 duel between Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo. Arguably the greatest last few laps from any racing code. Simply astonishing, and I am always glued to my seat throughout the whole race.

I am a great fan of Radio 4 and 4 Extra, and I do occasionally watch other stuff on the iPlayer. But the big draw of TV..? Nah, I'd still rather be out there doing things while I still can rather than watch other people on the screen.

One of the best ever series was "The Clangers" The acting was always first class, and the dialogue was both witty and charming, but with a real cutting edge as well.

It was such a tragedy that after the series was canned, the soup dragon turned to drugs, and died all alone in a squalid bedsit in Portsmouth.

    I'm lost.

I haven't seen or heard of half of these programmes.

What channel are they on only my TV is still tuned to analogue although a very nice man came and put a sort of little black box on top of the TV?

He showed me how to work it but I promptly forgot and now it sits there showing a rather sad little red light.

I think the very lovely Mrs Godders:emoticon-0115-inlov knows how to work it but she is not prepared to share that information with me as she now monopolises the TV hence me not being able to see the Beach Volley Ball.

That was something I was really looking forward to.
