For me it HAS to be The Wire, literally nothing comes close.

I loved Breaking Bad, Game Of Thrones and The Sopranos but The Wire eclipses them all.

What are your favourites?

Most of those are on my "list of things to waste Summer on", not actually watched any of them yet.

My favourite that I've watched is Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes. Mmmmm Gene Hunt

i got in to Lost big time then it dragged on and on i lost interest and still not 100% sure what it was about

I'm not agreat TV fan and prefer the wireless but I do enjoy New Tricks, Antiques Roadshow and University Challenge.

I have also enjoyed that train journey programme with Michael Portillo which has been really interesting.

I have also enjoyed "Who do you think you are" which was once described by a child as that tv programme where people visit libraries and other people make them cry a lot!

I've still not done The Wire. Love Game of Thrones but my favourite in recent years has been the new Battlestar Galactica series. Properly awesome!

As said before Ashes to Ashes/Life on Mars were great , also really into Suits at the moment has to be my favorite Series in a long time. Was also really into Heroes just a shame they never made the last series!

Also love the wire, definitely my favourite drama series but i quite like lost, breaking bad, dexter and the walking dead as well. Arrested devlopment is probably my favourite comedy, but also a fan of the office (uk).

Yep, the Wire for me too, best series ever, incredible tv.

After that its probably the Sopranos (also excellent) and recently The Game of Thrones, a real surprise. Breaking Bad I've only got to 2nd series but enjoyed, Boardwalk Empire good, but not suck you in good. Just started watching The Killing (Danish original) and loving it.

Oh yes, The Walking Dead, finding that really gripping.

Comedy favourites:
Mighty Boosh
Peep Show
Spaced
The office

Game of Thrones
Walking Dead
WhiteChapel
Family Guy
South Park

That's about it for me, hardly watch tv tbh.

Used to love

Wire In The Blood
Simpsons(don't like the new stuff that much)
Terra Nova

First season of Boardwalk Empire was good, the 2nd season put me off it.

When you reach my age you've enjoyed a lot of tv and tend to forget programmes until someone else mentions them. My list with lots left out and not in any order: Startrek, Life on Mars (got to love Gene Hunt...wonderful character), Sherlock, The Killing (and other Scandicrime), Morse, Onedin Line, The Mentalist, Suits etc etc. Also love documentaries about history and science. I like American series like Lost, Prison Break etc but they fade away and never know how to finish, so I now tend to give them a miss.

First episode seemed quite interesting, what happened so now it's just something that you used to love?

Fox decided to cancel it after the first season, even tho it had really high viewing figures.

Agree with you on BWE, I just couldn't get in to it at all!

I heard it was picked up by another channel. Forget which one though.

Also while it's not a TV series of such, I do really enjoy Sky One's Discworld mini-series'. Stanley in Going Postal is brilliant!

Criminal minds,Bones,C.S.I Vegas,Sherlock was also very good. The wife has got me into 24 hrs in A+ E (i know)
The only comedy that deserves a laugh at mo is The Big Bang Theory......
